Determining the Effects of Non-invasive Brain Stimulation to Improve Quadriceps Muscle Function After ACL Reconstruction
Recruiting
After knee surgery for a torn ACL, many women struggle with weak thigh muscles for years, partly due to reduced brain signals to these muscles. Our research tests a new approach to improve recovery by using low-level brain stimulation to boost these signals. We'll study 42 women, aged 18-35, who had ACL surgery. They'll be split into two groups: one receiving real brain stimulation and another getting a placebo, both during thigh-strengthening exercises. Over six sessions, we'll measure thigh mu... Read More

PRIMARY Ancillary Substudy
Recruiting
The PRIMARY trial (NCT05051033), which compares mitral valve repair (MVr) to transcatheter-edge-to-edge-repair (TEER), offers a platform for conducting mechanistic studies to develop early insights into the pathophysiological processes by which mitral valve prolapse (MVP) can impact left ventricular (LV) myocardial structure and function, and, thereby, predispose to arrhythmias and sudden death. Such insights are key to identifying interventions to reduce the long-term sequelae of heart failure... Read More

Pembrolizumab With or Without Maintenance Sacituzumab Tirumotecan (Sac-TMT; MK-2870) in Metastatic Squamous Non-small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) [MK-2870-023]
Recruiting
This is a phase 3 study of pembrolizumab in combination with carboplatin/taxane (paclitaxel or nab-paclitaxel) followed by pembrolizumab with or without maintenance sacituzumab tirumotecan (sac-TMT; MK-2870) in first-line treatment of metastatic squamous non-small cell lung cancer. It is hypothesized that pembrolizumab with maintenance sacituzumab tirumotecan is superior to pembrolizumab without sacituzumab tirumotecan maintenance with respect to overall survival (OS).

A Study to Investigate Safety, Tolerability, Pharmacokinetics, and Pharmacodynamics of AZD4248 in Healthy Participants and Participants With Chronic Kidney Disease and Type 2 Diabetes and to Assess Home Measurements of Creatinine in a Non Interventional Cohort
Recruiting
This study will evaluate safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), and pharmacodynamics (PD) of single ascending doses (SAD) and multiple ascending doses (MAD) of AZD4248 administered as an oral solution and intravenous (IV) infusion. Additionally, the study investigates the non-interventional feasibility of home measurement of serum creatinine in participants with diabetic kidney disease (DKD).

Cryoneurolysis of the Suprascapular Nerve for Perioperative Pain Control After Receiving a Reverse Total Shoulder Arthroplasty (RTSA)
Recruiting
The main purpose of this research is to find out if a treatment called cryoneurolysis can reduce pain after reverse total shoulder replacement surgery. This treatment uses cold to temporarily block a nerve in the shoulder. The study will compare people who receive the treatment to those who do not, to see if it helps lower pain and reduce the need for opioid pain medications after a reverse total shoulder surgery (RTSA).

UPBEAT: Using Polygenic Scores to Guide BB Therapy in HF With Mildly Reduced EF
Recruiting
This study will use polygenic scores, a tool which describes differences in genetics, to examine effectiveness of beta blocker medication in heart failure patients with ejection fraction of 41-50 percent. The study will also assess beta blockers' effect on the changes in left ventricular end-systolic volume index by MRI.

A Study Comparing Anitocabtagene Autoleucel to Standard of Care Therapy in Participants With Relapsed/ Refractory Multiple Myeloma
Recruiting
The goal of this study (iMMagine-3) is to compare the study drug, anitocabtagene autoleucel to standard of care therapy (SOCT) in participants with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma who have received 1 to 3 prior lines of therapy, including an anti-CD38 monoclonal antibody and an immunomodulatory drug.
