This phase II trial tests how well neratinib prior to the primary treatment (neoadjuvant) works in treating patients with stage I-III HER2 mutated lobular breast cancers. Neratinib is in a class of medications called kinase inhibitors. It works by blocking the action of an abnormal protein that signals cancer cells to multiply. This helps slow or stop the spread of cancer cells. Giving neratinib in addition to normal therapy may work better in treating cancer than the endocrine therapy patients would normally receive. This study will use novel transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) protocols and electroencephalography (EEG) to modulate and measure brain oscillations that underlie working memory. tACS is a noninvasive method used to modulate the timing and patterns of brain rhythms via weak electric currents passed through electrodes on the scalp. The primary objective of this study is to enroll an observational cohort of approximately 60 patients with PSP over the course of 24 months using a multicenter study design and to follow each of them for 12 months. This goal of this study is to test an information and support intervention for patients with malignant (or "high-grade") brain tumors. This study was developed to help patients cope after a brain tumor diagnosis. The main question this study aims to answer is whether this intervention (which includes access to an information guide and one-on-one coaching sessions) is feasible (i.e., possible to carry out) and acceptable (i.e., considered helpful) to patients. Participants will be asked to take part in the coaching sessions, use the guide as desired, and complete a small group of short surveys at three different points in time; some participants will be asked to share feedback via exit interviews. The purpose of this clinical trial is to gather information on the safety and effectiveness of botulinum toxin injection (or Botox) in the treatment of thumb joint pain/arthritis. People with thumb joint pain or arthritis usually receive steroid injections to help with the pain. However, this medicine does not always work well and also carries known important side effects. There is currently no alternative to this injection medicine. This clinical trial seeks to investigate botulinum toxin as a possible alternative to steroid injection. The difference between Botox and steroid injections is that they are different medicines and work in different ways. Botox, as it is being used in this study, is not FDA-approved. Latino individuals, the fastest growing ethnic minority population in the United States, have a higher prevalence of type 2 diabetes and diabetes-related complications, and are more likely to report inconsistent use of diabetes medications than non-Hispanic White individuals. The proposed project will test an interactive text message-based tool tailored to address barriers to taking diabetes medications that are relevant to Latino adults. If found feasible, acceptable, and usable, this intervention could serve as a scalable tool to improve diabetes management and reduce diabetes-related complications among Latino adults in the United States. The HIV diagnosis rate among African-born Black women is the highest of all Black individuals living in the US. Correct and consistent use of condoms and use of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) are two effective means of decreasing HIV risk among women, but they remain suboptimal among Black women. The specific aims of this study are: 1. To culturally adapt two widely utilized, evidence-based HIV prevention interventions originally designed for US born Black women (Sister-to-Sister (S2S) and Sisters Informing Sisters about Topics on AIDS (SISTA)) for use by African-born women 2. To conduct a randomized controlled comparative effectiveness trial (RCT) to determine the effectiveness of adapted versions of S2S versus SISTA on increasing condom use and PrEP uptake among African-born women. The adapted versions of these interventions will be given new names that resonate with the African culture. The adapted version of S2S intervention will be called "Dada Kwa Dada (DKD)" intervention while the adapted version of SISTA intervention will be called "DADA" intervention. "DADA" means "Sister" in Swahili and other languages in Eastern and Western Africa. Read Less

Current treatments for adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with eating disorders (EDs) do not effectively address a central ED symptom - anxiety about weight gain - which contributes to poor outcomes. The proposed study evaluates the feasibility, acceptability, efficacy, and underlying mechanisms of an enhanced version of "open weighing," a cognitive-behavioral intervention designed to target anxiety about weight gain in AYAs with EDs. Understanding how to better treat AYAs with EDs, and identifying the mechanisms by which interventions lead to improvement, will aid in the development of more effective and personalized treatments, ultimately improving the lives of AYAs with EDs.
