The Role of Flavor in the Substitutability of E-cigarettes for Combustible Cigarettes Among Persistent Smokers
Recruiting
This between-subjects study aims to evaluate the effect of flavor on initial and sustained switching from combustible cigarettes to e-cigarettes among 210 cigarette smokers. After measuring baseline cigarette smoking rate, participants will be randomized to a six-week regimen of fruit-flavored, tobacco-flavored, or menthol-flavored e-cigarettes and be instructed to switch (versus smoking cigarettes) over a 6-week period. Flavor-associated subjective reward and the reinforcing value of flavored e... Read More

CompuFlo CathCheck
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to determine if the Compuflo CathCheck system is equivalent to an epidurogram in determining epidural catheter location (in or outside the epidural space), using the epidurogram as the gold standard. In short, this will be completed by performing an epidurogram (as is standard of practice and the gold standard of determining epidural placement) and compare it to the results of the Compuflo CathCheck system. Equivalency will be summarized through agreement and concord... Read More

Exercise as an Immune Adjuvant for Allogeneic Cell Therapies
Recruiting
This study aims to improve the treatment of blood cancer by using exercise to collect healthier immune cells from donors. Allogeneic adoptive cell therapy is a treatment where immune cells from a healthy donor are given to a cancer patient, usually to help prevent or treat cancer relapse after a stem cell transplant. These donor cells can either be directly infused into the patient or grown in a lab to create more specialized immune cells that target and kill cancer. While this therapy has been... Read More

Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma Gene Environment Risk Study
Recruiting
After informed consent, participants will be asked to complete a medical/family history questionnaire and provide a blood sample. Some participants may also be asked to provide a urine sample. Individuals undergoing procedures that require collection of biological samples for clinical purposes may have these samples saved for research purposes. Impact of NMES and HPRO on Recovery After SAH- Pilot Study
Recruiting
The study purpose is to investigate the hypothesis that in adults with SAH, early neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) and high protein supplementation (HPRO) will improve muscle mass, metabolic and inflammatory biomarker profiles, compared to SAH controls receiving standard of care interventions for nutrition and mobilization. The investigators will accomplish this by studying the effects of a high protein (HPRO) nutritional treatment as well as NMES intervention have upon muscle wasting... Read More
