This study will follow men with metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer throughout their standard of care treatment for their disease to determine if the presence of different genes or proteins can predict which patients respond to the cancer treatment they receive. As tumors grow and begin to spread, they may release cells into patients' bloodstream. These cells are called "circulating tumor cells", or CTCs. CTCs can be used to look for differences in "biomarkers" (genes or proteins that may change based on how a person is or is not responding to treatment). The purpose of this research study is to learn whether scientists can use biomarkers from CTCs to predict which tumors will respond to certain hormonal therapies. Participants will have blood collected and provide an archival sample from a previous tumor biopsy. The goal of the study is to learn if Epidiolex (cannabidiol) works as a additional pain medication in patients who have had orthopedic shoulder surgery. It is also to learn about safe dosages and identify any side effects after surgery. Researchers will compare Epidiolex to a placebo solution to see if Epidiolex lowers pain after shoulder surgery. Participants will: * track their pain and what medications they use every day in a provided pain diary. A researchers will call every seven days to check on the participant and diary. * Complete two short surveys. Once before surgery and once after. * Have bloodwork tested after surgery Read Less

While previous PKU intervention research has largely focused on pharmacological treatment of elevated Phe levels, the adaptation of evidence-based psychosocial therapy holds promise for addressing cognitive and psychological symptoms and significantly improving quality of life. Study goals include: (1) to demonstrate the efficacy and feasibility of a short-term skills-based intervention (Show Me FIRST) for anxiety and depression in adolescents with PKU, and (2) to further establish the psychometric validity of novel assessment measures recently developed by the Investigators that utilize ecological momentary assessment (EMA) to capture "in the moment" neurocognitive and psychological function. The Investigators propose to conduct a randomized controlled trial wherein 30 adolescents with PKU will be randomized to either an immediate intervention group or wait-list/delayed intervention group. The Epilepsy-Dyskinesia Study aims to advance the understanding of the clinical and molecular spectrum of epilepsy-dyskinesia syndromes, monogenic diseases that cause both movement disorders and epilepsy. Addressing challenges in rare disease research -such as small, geographically dispersed patient populations and a lack of standardized protocols- the study employs a multinational retrospective survey endorsed by the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society. This survey seeks to collect comprehensive data on clinical features, disease progression, age of onset, genetic variants, and concurrent neurological conditions, standardizing data collection across countries to provide a unified understanding of these conditions. Through retrospective review and molecular data analysis, the study aims to identify patterns and correlations between movement and seizure disorders, uncovering genotype-phenotype relationships. There is limited data on outcomes for children who have undergone deep brain stimulation (DBS) for movement disorders, and individual centers performing this surgery often lack sufficient cases to power research studies adequately. This study aims to develop a multicenter pediatric DBS registry that allows multiple sites to share clinical pediatric DBS data. The primary goals are to enable large-scale, well-powered analyses of the safety and efficacy of DBS in the pediatric population and to further explore and refine DBS as a therapeutic option for children with dystonia and other hyperkinetic movement disorders. Given the current scarcity of evidence available to clinicians, this centralized multicenter repository of clinical data is critical for addressing key research questions and improving clinical practice for pediatric DBS. The Registry and Natural History Study for Progressive Myoclonus Epilepsy Type 1 (EPM1) is focused on gathering longitudinal clinical data as well as biological samples (blood and/or urine) from male and female patients, of all ages, who have a molecular diagnosis of EPM1or CSTB-null-related disease. Currently, there are no therapies that halt disease progression in any CSTB-related diseases, highlighting the urgency for translational research into this condition. The goal of this pragmatic trial is to learn if telehealth strategies can increase shared decision-making (SDM) for lung cancer screening (LCS). It will also learn about the equity of these strategies by conducting non-inferiority analysis by race and sex. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Does patient outreach using synchronous and asynchronous telehealth strategies increase completion of SDM visits for LCS? 2. Is the effectiveness of these telehealth strategies similar by race and sex? The study uses a Sequential Multiple Assignment Randomized Trial (SMART) design and includes two stages of interventions. The first stage of intervention includes direct patient outreach with an invitation to schedule either a 1) telehealth SDM visit or 2) telehealth or in-person SDM visit. Participants that do not respond to the first stage interventions receive a text message reminder encouraging SDM visit completion with or without digital care coordination. Read Less

The overall goal of this research project is to investigate the effectiveness and the science of peer-based prosthetic skill training in individuals with leg amputation. Our belief is that amputee learners will show improved skill learning when observing demonstrations from other amputees, as opposed to observing nonamputee models. The investigators will accomplish the objective by answering the following two questions: Question 1: Does peer-based observation training works better for learning motor tasks for individuals with lower limb amputation (LLA)? Question 2: Are there differences in visual focus, behavior, and brain activation patterns when observing motor task demonstrations from amputee peers vs. non-amputees? Participants of this study will be asked to learn a balance and a fall recovery task by observing video demonstrations by amputee peers vs. non-amputees. Examples of CVI are varicose veins, vascular congestion, venous ulcer, venous clusters, venous anomalies, mixed malformation, Klippel-Trenaunay Syndrome, CLOVES, Syndrome, Blue Rubber bleb Nevus Syndrome.
