Neural Biomarkers of Electroconvulsive Therapy Response
Recruiting
In the proposed study, the investigators will utilize resting-state functional MRI (fMRI) and structural MRI-based electrical field modeling to study the effect of electroconvulsive therapy on human neural circuitry. Our study will recruit patients who are beginning treatment with bilateral electroconvulsive therapy (N=75). Our design will be longitudinal where patients will be followed up until their 8th week electroconvulsive therapy clinically. The primary measure of interest will be the slop... Read More

Slow Wave Sleep As a Biomarker of Rehabilitation-induced Cognitive Improvement in PD
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of exercise rehabilitation on cognition and to evaluate slow wave sleep (SWS) as a biomarker and mediator of response to rehabilitation-induced improvement in cognitive performance among persons with Parkinson's disease (PwP), with the ultimate goal of maximizing rehabilitation efficacy at the individual level (i.e. precision rehabilitation).

A Phase I-II Study to Test the Safety and Efficacy of PD1 (AB122) and Adenosine Receptor (AB928) Antagonists With Chemotherapy After Short-Course Radiation for Rectal Cancer.
Recruiting
Enrolled patients will receive upfront (week 1) short-course radiotherapy to gross pelvic disease (25Gy in 5fx) in combination with AB928 (150 mg orally, once daily as part of a continuous dose regimen). This will be followed by consolidation chemotherapy (weeks 3-20) with mFOLFOX x9 cycles in combination with AB928 and AB122.

Simultaneous Multinuclear Metabolic MRI in Newly Diagnosed or Recurrent Glioma
Recruiting
This clinical trial constructs and tests a novel multinuclear metabolic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) sequence in patients with glioma (brain tumor) that is newly diagnosed or has come back (recurrent). This trial aims to develop new diagnostic imaging technology that may bridge gaps between early detection and diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment in brain cancer.

Inspiring New Science In Guiding Healthcare in Turner Syndrome Registry
Recruiting
INSIGHTS is a registry research study that collects key information on medical history for girls and women with Turner syndrome and the clinical care they receive. This includes genetic tests, imaging, medications, and more for hundreds of patients seen at a number of clinics across the US. In addition to learning a lot about the current state of health for individuals with TS, INSIGHTS serves as an infrastructure to conduct future studies are meaningful to patients and their families.

Gamma Frequency Stimulation in Individuals With Down Syndrome
Recruiting
Down Syndrome (DS) is characterized by an additional copy of chromosome 21, which also increases risk of Alzheimer's Disease (AD). The investigators' lab found a non-invasive way to remove toxic proteins from the brain in AD mouse models. Remarkably, treated mice also have improved memory on behavioral testing. The investigators then translated this non-invasive method, which uses light and sound to stimulate the brain, to be used in mild Alzheimer's patients and cognitively normal adults. The i... Mild Intermittent Hypoxia: A Prophylactic for Autonomic Dysfunction in Individuals With Spinal Cord Injuries
Recruiting
The prevalence of autonomic dysfunction and sleep disordered breathing (SDB) is increased in individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI). The loss of autonomic control results in autonomic dysreflexia (AD) and orthostatic hypotension (OH) which explains the increase in cardiovascular related mortality in these Veterans. There is no effective prophylaxis for autonomic dysfunction. The lack of prophylactic treatment for autonomic dysfunction, and no best clinical practices for SDB in SCI, are signif... Read More
