Adoptive Cord Blood Immunotherapy for EBV, CMV, BKV and Adenovirus Reactivation/Infection or Prophylaxis
Recruiting
This Phase I-II dose-finding trial to determine the optimal dose of intravenous (IV) injection dose of donor-derived cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) specific for CMV, EBV, BKV and Adenovirus. A maximum of 36 patients will be treated in up to 18 cohorts each of size 2, with the first cohort treated at the lowest dose level 1, all successive doses chosen by the EffTox method, and no untried dose level skipped when escalating.
The scientific goal of the trial is to determine an optimal IV-CTL cell... Read More

Neuromodulation and Cognitive Training for Substance Use Disorders
Recruiting
The relapsing nature of substance use disorder is a major obstacle to successful treatment. About 70% of those entering treatment will relapse within one year. To improve treatment outcome, new interventions targeting the underlying brain biomarkers of relapse vulnerability hold significant promise in reducing this critical public health problem. This study is testing a new intervention, namely tDCS-Augmented Cognitive Training, to engage these brain biomarkers to improve cognition and improve t... Read More

Liver Transplantation in Patients With CirrHosis and Severe Acute-on-Chronic Liver Failure: iNdications and outComEs
Recruiting
Management of ACLF is mainly supportive. The poor outcomes lead physicians to consider liver transplantation as an option, even if controversial. In sicker recipients, LT results in immediate survival, but poor medium-term survival rates in some studies. The scarcity of deceased donors obliges to maximize LT success. Alternative strategies, as living-donor LT, should be explored. LDLT has impressive results in Eastern centers, but it is restrained in Western countries, due to potential life-thre... Read More

Study to Assess the Safety and Tolerability of CFT7455 in Relapsed/Refractory Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma or Multiple Myeloma
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to characterize the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and antitumor activity of oral cemsidomide (also known as CFT7455) administered at different dosages in subjects with Relapsed/Refractory (r/r) Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma (NHL) or Multiple Myeloma (MM). Cemsidomide may be administered as a single agent and, in MM only, in combination with oral dexamethasone.

Pulmonary Vascular Hemodynamics Before and After Mitral Valve Procedures
Recruiting
The objective of this proposal is to study circulating and echocardiographic markers of pulmonary vascular and right ventricular remodeling in patients with a WHO-2 diagnosis of pulmonary hypertension after mitral valve procedures. The investigators are proposing the study will be impactful for the early detection and prediction and of residual pulmonary hypertension (PH) that would otherwise be undetected and fatal with no curative treatment.

Opioid/Benzodiazepine Polydrug Abuse: Aim 3
Recruiting
In this study, the investigators will measure affective, neurocognitive and behavioral outcomes related to chronic use of opioids and benzodiazepines (screening phase), and in response to the administration of the opioid morphine, the benzodiazepine alprazolam, morphine then alprazolam, alprazolam then morphine, morphine+alprazolam simultaneously, and placebo (laboratory pharmacology experiment). The latter will enable the investigators to assess the effects of an opioid alone, benzodiazepine al... Read More

Improving Efficacy of Voice Therapy Concepts Via Telepractice and Mobile App Technology
Recruiting
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, telepractice has grown rapidly. To date, synchronous telepractice (i.e., in real-time videoconferencing) has been the focus of most research with asynchronous telepractice (i.e. information stored and accessed later) being used minimally only to record synchronous encounters. Descriptions of voice therapy concepts are minimally available in the literature with no standard reporting framework and no clinical efficacy or effectiveness data. Thus, the proposed study wi...
