Carbon fiber custom dynamic orthoses (CDOs) and unloading ankle foot orthoses (AFOs) have shown varying levels of success in reducing forces acting on different regions of the bottom of the foot during gait. CDOs and unloading AFOs have shown differing offloading capabilities across different regions of the foots (hindfoot, midfoot, forefoot) which may be related to a distinct difference between CDOs and unloading AFOs: CDOs do not suspend, or distract, the foot away from the footplate. The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of CDOs and heel distraction height (the distance between the heel and the footplate) on limb loading and motion during gait as well as patient reported pain, and comfort. The goal of this clinical trial is to test how exercise affects learning and memory processes relevant to the treatment of PTSD. Participants will complete a baseline intake followed by two experimental sessions. During the first experimental session, participants will undergo an MRI session of imaginal exposure to traumatic memory cues followed by 30-minutes of moderate intensity exercise or low intensity exercise. This research study will evaluate the effectiveness of utilizing Battlefield Acupuncture (BFA) on veterans with with a history of substance use disorder and chronic pain for 8 weeks. Primary Aim: The primary aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of using BFA to treat chronic pain in veterans with a history of substance use disorder. Secondary Aim: This study will also evaluate the impact that BFA treatment for pain may have on subjects' stress, mood and sleep patterns over 8 weeks. In addition, each subject will be complete behavioral research tools to measure: depression, anxiety, and substance use at 3 different points in this study. The goal of the observational APS phenotyping study is to better understand risk factors, potential biomarkers, length and severity of illness, and recovery for adults with ARDS, pneumonia, and/ or sepsis. The Safe and Fast Radial Hemostasis using Synergistic Strategies (SAFE \& FAST) trial is an interventional study aimed at reducing the incidence of radial artery occlusion (RAO) rebound bleeding, and the required compression time after transradial approach (TRA) procedures, which have become the default access for coronary procedures globally. This open-label, proof-of-concept pilot study will assess the efficacy and safety of midomafetamine (MDMA) - assisted therapy (AT) for participants diagnosed with pathological narcissism. As all participants will be allocated to a single group assignment, there will be no blinding, randomization, or comparator treatment. This is a pilot study. The goal of this prospective cohort study is to determine impact of pharmacist-led continuous glucose monitoring on glycemic control and health behavior change in people with type 2 diabetes. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. to assess change in hemoglobin A1c in people with type 2 diabetes using continuous glucose monitoring under a pharmacist-led approach as compared to a pharmacist-led approach utilizing no continuous glucose monitoring (only self-monitoring blood glucose with a glucometer). 2. to assess change in continuous glucose monitoring-derived glycemic outcomes among the pharmacist-led continuous glucose monitoring cohort (intervention group) 3. to assess change in health behavior among the pharmacist-led continuous glucose monitoring cohort (intervention group) Read Less
