A randomized research study of drugs nivolumab and pembrolizumab in patients with locally advanced or metastatic cancers. Based on data from earlier studies it appears that the drugs can be given less often then the currently approved schedule. This study will enroll up to 30 evaluable patients with pheochromocytoma or paraganglioma who are undergoing surgical or systemic treatment. A pre-treatment 18F-FluorThanatrace (\[18F\]FTT) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) scan will be done prior to surgery or systemic therapy. PET/CT imaging will be used to evaluate PARP-1 expression in sites of pheochromocytoma or paraganglioma using the investigational radiotracer \[18F\]FTT. This is an observational study in that \[18F\]FTT PET/CT will not be used to direct treatment decisions. While patients and referring physicians will not be blinded to the \[18F\]FTT PET/CT results, treatment decisions will be made by the treating physicians based upon clinical criteria. Read Less

Doctors leading this study hope to learn about a software that researchers at the University of Chicago have developed to help analyze radiographic images (different techniques for taking images that allow doctors to visualize the body's internal structures) of the prostate. Intrauterine devices (IUDs) are a popular form of long-acting reversible contraception, with a high efficacy rate and few side effects. The insertion procedure for IUDs can be uncomfortable and painful. Sedation may be needed to improve patient comfort. The use of IUDs is increasing in the adolescent population, but perceived pain is a barrier to placement. Propofol is a commonly used agent for pediatric procedural sedation, but it has no analgesic properties. Ketorolac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, has been shown to reduce pain in adults and improve patient satisfaction when used prior to IUD placement.. The current study aims to determine if ketorolac, given in combination with propofol for IUD placement in adolescents, can improve comfort during placement and reduce pain following the procedure. Enrolled patients will receive ketorolac or placebo, in addition to propofol, for IUD placement. By comparing the outcomes of these two groups of patients, we can gain a better understanding of the optimal approach to sedation for IUD insertion in adolescents. Read Less

This study is recruiting patients with chronic, treatment resistant erythema multiforme (EM), which is a disease that can affect the skin and mucous membranes (mucocutaneous). EM often impacts quality of life with pain, anorexia, hospitalization, and related long-term issues. While there are medications used to treat EM, no single therapeutic agent has been consistently effective for long-term management of disease. Apremilast (trade name: Otezla) is approved to treat Bechet's Disease, a different but similar mucocutaneous disease. In this study, eligible patients will receive apremilast for 6 months of treatment so we can evaluate if there is a difference in pain and the number of EM flares compared to prior to treatment with apremilast. The purpose of this study is to observe current exoskeleton users in their home environment to determine the activities of daily living (ADLs) they are able to complete, and to identify the minor adaptations to the home environment that will improve the exoskeleton user's potential for increased independence. This is a pilot study to fine-tune the methods and to determine the feasibility of doing this study on a larger scale. Read Less
