I-124 PET/CT Imaging and Dosimetry for RAI-Naïve or Refractory Thyroid Cancer
Recruiting
The objective of this study is to demonstrate the clinical utility of I-124 PET/CT imaging and dosimetry in patients with thyroid cancer including 1) Evaluation of extent (volume and pattern) of remnant tissue in post total thyroidectomy setting and distinction of nodal metastases vs remnant tissue for determination of indication for RAI ablation, 2) Evaluation of response to RAI remnant ablation, 3) Evaluation for suspected occult recurrent/metastatic disease, 4) Evaluation of extent of disease... Ibrutinib and Blinatumomab in Treating Patients With Relapsed or Refractory B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
Recruiting
This phase II trial studies how well ibrutinib and blinatumomab work in treating patients with B acute lymphoblastic leukemia that has come back or is not responding to treatment. Ibrutinib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Monoclonal antibodies, such as blinatumomab, may interfere with the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Giving ibrutinib and blinatumomab may work better in treating patients with relapsed or refractory B acute... Read More

Use of Sensory Substitution to Improve Arm Control After Stroke
Recruiting
Supplementing or augmenting sensory information to those who have lost proprioception after stroke could help improve functional control of the arm. Thirty subjects will be recruited to a single site to evaluate the ability of supplemental kinesthetic feedback (a form of vibrotactile stimulation) to improve motor function. Participants will be tested in performing reaching movements as well as more functional tasks such as simulated drinking from a glass

Phenotyping Asthma for Bronchial Thermoplasty
Recruiting
This study will evaluate a new imaging technology, called optical coherence tomography (OCT) to examine the asthmatic airways before and after bronchial thermoplasty, which is a new treatment option for severe asthmatic patients. The aim of this study is to learn more about how airways respond to this new treatment. In the future the investigators hope OCT will aid clinicians in the initial assessment, management and long-term follow up of patients receiving bronchial thermoplasty.

The Influence of Mitochondrial-Derived Reactive Oxygen Species on Racial Disparities in Neurovascular Function
Recruiting
Black individuals are at increased cardiovascular disease risk. The central goal of the study is to determine if mitochondrial reactive oxygen species influence blood vessel function and nervous system regulation of blood pressure differentially in black, compared to white individuals. These findings may help to explain a potential mechanism that contributes to racial disparities in blood pressure and cardiovascular disease risk. A secondary goal is to determine if mitochondrial reactive oxygen... Read More

Azacitidine or Decitabine With Venetoclax for Acute Myeloid Leukemia With Prior Hypomethylating Agent Failure
Recruiting
This phase II trial evaluates the effect of azacitidine or decitabine and venetoclax in treating patients with acute myeloid leukemia that has not been treated before (treatment naive) or has come back (relapsed). Chemotherapy drugs, such as azacitidine, decitabine, and venetoclax, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading.

Effect of Drain Care on Infection Rate and Quality of Life in Implant-Based Breast Reconstruction.
Recruiting
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn whether showering with surgical drain tubes in place after first stage breast reconstruction causes increased risk of infection. The main questions it aims to answer are:
* Is there an increased risk of infection/complications with showering 48 hours after drain tubes are in place
* Does showering after 48 hours with drain tubes in place affect quality of life.
