The Healthy Diet and Lifestyle Study II
Recruiting
Intermittent energy restriction (IER) may have important advantages over daily energy restriction (DER) in producing sustained weight loss and reducing cancer risk. IER is already being promoted with limited evidence, thus, additional evidence is urgently needed from rigorously conducted clinical trials. IER has been proposed to invoke a greater metabolic shift to fat metabolism than DER and preferentially reduce central obesity. The Investigators adapted the IER and the Mediterranean diet (MED)... TelePrEP for At-risk Youth in Colorado
Recruiting
Youth represent the largest proportion of new HIV infections in Colorado, reflective of their inadequate access and uptake of pre-exposure prophylaxis(PrEP)for HIV prevention. Colorado's 2019 HIV/AIDS Prevention Program state-wide review of PrEP barriers showed PrEP eligible individuals do not access PrEP services due to lack of interest, not wanting referral to a navigator, and low estimation of HIV risk. The overall goal is to provide youth at higher risk for HIV with an effective youth inform... Read More

Optimizing Treatment of Adhesive Small Bowel Obstruction
Recruiting
Small bowel obstruction (SBO) is one of the most common causes of serious gastrointestinal disease in the US. Adhesion-related SBO (aSBO) is usually treated by the placement of a nasogastric tube (NGT) to decompress the stomach, administration of intravenous (IV) fluids and observation by a surgical team. The purpose of this feasibility study is to determine the potential for implementation of treatment protocols for aSBO and determine the feasibility of randomizing patients with aSBO to receiv...
