Pediatric Dose Optimization for Seizures in Emergency Medical Services
Recruiting
The Pediatric Dose Optimization for Seizures in Emergency Medical Services (PediDOSE) study is designed to improve how paramedics treat seizures in children on ambulances. Seizures are one of the most common reasons why people call an ambulance for a child, and paramedics typically administer midazolam to stop the seizure. One-third of children with active seizures on ambulances arrive at emergency departments still seizing. Prior research suggests that seizures on ambulances continue due to und... Read More

Comparison of Duodenoscope With Single-use Distal Cover and the Conventional Reusable Duodenoscope
Recruiting
The purpose of the study is to compare the success rates of procedure success and complication rates in patients undergoing Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) using two types of currently available endoscopes. These are (1) duodenoscope with a Single-use distal cover or (2) a conventional reusable duodenoscope.

An Exploratory Study Examining Biopsychosocial Markers of Anxiety and Depression
Recruiting
This research study is studying how thoughts, feelings, surroundings, and individual biology may contribute to why and how people experience anxiety or depression. We are trying to find out the wide variety of reasons that people may experience anxiety or depression, and why different people are helped by different forms of treatment. We are trying to determine why people stay in treatment, and what factors contribute to a positive or negative response to treatment. These reasons may be due to... Read More

Alveolar Ridge Preservation With Putty Allograft vs. Putty Alloplast Graft
Recruiting
The primary aims of this study are to compare, after 4 months, the clinical and histologic results of a combination demineralized/mineralized putty allograft vs. synthetic calcium phosphosilicate (CPS) putty alloplast graft utilization in socket preservation procedures. A regenerative tissue matrix membrane will be used to cover each graft lying below the flap.

The Effect of Sulfasalazine on CRH Levels in Pregnant Women
Recruiting
The goal of this randomized clinical trial is to assess sulfasalazine as a potential treatment to prevent recurrent preterm birth. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Does sulfasalazine down regulate corticotropin releasing hormone (CRH) levels in pregnant persons with a prior history of preterm birth? * Does sulfasalazine reduce the incidence of recurrent preterm birth in pregnant persons given drug vs. controls? Consenting participants will be randomized to receive sulfasalazine or t... Read More

The Effect of Hand Exercises on Upper Limb Volume, Quality of Life, and Hand Function in Breast Cancer Survivors
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to determine whether the addition of simple hand mobility and grip strengthening exercises to the usual care for upper extremity lymphedema will reduce limb volume and improve the quality of life, hand dexterity, and grip strength for those experiencing breast cancer-related lymphedema. Researchers will compare those receiving the usual treatment to those receiving the usual treatment plus hand mobility and grip strengthening exercises.
