Development of a Clinically-relevant Test for Assessment of Cerebral Vascular Function
Recruiting
The goal of this study is to develop a test of cerebral vessel function by inducing a reactive hyperemia that will elicit a rapid and profound increase in cerebral vessel shear stress. The results of this project may lead to development of a test with prognostic/predictive utility for individual risk assessment of a future cerebrovascular event/disease. This information will be of vital importance to the medical community in regards to cerebrovascular health in aging individuals, and testing of... Read More

Biomolecular Characteristics of Reminder-Focused Positive-Psychiatry
Recruiting
Objective: Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a prevalent neuropsychiatric disorder in children and is associated with increased neurovascular inflammation, suicidality, adulthood mental health disorder, and major adverse events. Reminder focused positive psychiatry (RFPP) has been shown as well tolerated feasible trauma focused intervention that is associated with improved core PTSD symptoms, decreased severity of reactivity to PTSD trauma reminders, and increased vascular function. YL-13027 in Patients With Advanced Solid Tumors
Recruiting
Part 1 (Phase Ia): This is a dose escalation, 3 + 3 design study, to evaluate the safety and tolerability, and to determine the RP2D of YL-13027 when administered b.i.d. in patients with advanced solid tumors. Up to 4 cohorts of 3-6 patients each will be treated in part 1 of the study. One cycle is 28 days. Part 2: This is a dose expansion phase to further evaluate the safety, tolerability and preliminary anti-tumor activity of YL-13027 at the RP2D.

CHoice of OptImal transCatheter trEatment for Mitral Insufficiency Registry
Recruiting
This multinational, investigator-initiated, retrospective study aims to investigate outcomes of patients, who underwent transcatheter mitral valve implantation (TMVI), in comparison to those screened for TMVI but deemed ineligible, who subsequently underwent interventional mitral valve edge-to-edge repair, mitral valve surgery or medical/conservative therapy.

Etiological Factors of Obesity-Associated Hyperandrogenemia in Peripubertal Girls
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to learn if obese pre- and early pubertal girls with hyperandrogenemia (HA) are more insulin resistant (i.e., have lower insulin-stimulated glucose disposal) compared to obese peripubertal girls without HA; and that overnight mean luteinizing hormone (LH) concentration is also an independent predictor of free testosterone concentrations, especially in mid- to late pubertal girls.

Computer Aided Polyp Detection (C3PO) Trial
Recruiting
Computer aided detection (CADe) algorithms have been developed to overcome human errors and assist endoscopists in detecting more polyps during colonoscopy. The aim of this study was to investigate the accuracy of the novel Pentax Discovery CADe system (Discovery-AI) against pre-recorded videos of colon polyps of various size, shape and pathology while using videos of normal colon segments as controls from two different institutes.

Facilitating Adjustment to Simulated Jet Lag
Recruiting
The aims of this study are to compare 3 different treatments for circadian adjustment to a laboratory protocol which will mimic westward air travel across 8 time zones. One treatment will involve simply following the new schedule for 3 days. Another treatment will also involve exposure to bright light for 1 hour per day. A third treatment will involve exposure to bright light + exercise for 1 hour per day + consuming a melatonin tablet. Adjustment to the shifted schedule will be assessed by comp... Read More

Acute Progesterone Suppression of Wake vs. Sleep Luteinizing Hormone Pulse Frequency in Pubertal Girls With and Without Hyperandrogenism
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is two-fold. (1) We will determine if in mid- to late pubertal girls without hyperandrogenism (HA), progesterone (P4) acutely reduces waking luteinizing hormone (LH) frequency to a greater extent than sleep-associated LH frequency. (2) We will determine if in mid- to late pubertal girls with HA, P4 will acutely suppress waking LH frequency to a lesser degree than it does in girls without HA.
