Biodistribution and Kinetics of 18F-AraG in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
Recruiting
This study is to assess the biodistribution and kinetics of a novel T-cell imaging agent in non-small cell lung cancer patients undergoing immunotherapy with and without adjuvant radiation therapy. This study is assessing the change in kinetics that occurs in this patient population to better understand the distribution of this compound in patient disease circumstances.

Instrument Precision Study for Validation of PIPS 5.1
Recruiting
This study is designed to evaluate the instrument precision of the device for its proposed intended use in sub-studies: intra-system and inter-system. The precision within a system will be evaluated on three systems by three pathologists at one site. Specific features will be selected on glass slides, which will then be scanned. On the whole slide images field of views will be created including the features. In the reading phase three pathologists will read the field of views and record which fe... Read More

Online "Pain, Stress & Emotions" Class in Chronic Pain
Recruiting
Members with chronic pain will be invited to participate in a 2-hour zoom-delivered pain psychology class entitled "Pain, Stress, & Emotions". Surveys are completed at baseline (prior to the online class), a satisfaction survey is completed after the class, and post-treatment surveys completed 2, 4, 8, and 12 1weeks after class attendance.

Prostate Imaging Using MRI +/- Contrast Enhancement
Recruiting
This prospective clinical trial (PRostate Imaging using Mri +/- contrast Enhancement (PRIME)) aims to assess whether biparametric MRI (bpMRI) is non-inferior to multiparametric mpMRI (mpMRI) in the detection of clinically significant prostate cancer. This means that we are comparing MRI scans that requires injection of IV contrast (the current standard practice) versus MRI scans that can be performed without IV contrast in the detection of prostate cancer.

Duet 2.0 Starting the Conversation: A New Intervention Model to Stimulate Language Growth in Underserved Populations
Recruiting
Caregiver-child language interactions in the first three years of life predict early language development, school readiness, and academic achievement. Despite the importance of these factors, there are disparities in the frequency and quality of children's early language interactions. Although there is within-group variability, children from low-income families, on average, have fewer and lower-quality language experiences than their middle- or high-income peers. The current study addresses a ne... Read More

Clinical Proof-of-concept Study on Rapid Immune Modulating Effects
Recruiting
Clinical-proof-of concept study, comparing the acute immune impacts of of 2 doses of a novel blend of supplements to a placebo. This study involves twenty-four participants, composed of healthy adults, who will be taking a placebo and 2 different doses of the blend at different times. Testing for immune status and cytokine levels will be conducted to determine the acute impact of the blend on immune function as compared to the placebo.

The TIOB - Collection of Patients' Biospecimens for Analysis of Immunological and Molecular Biomarkers.
Recruiting
The purpose of the Texas Immuno-Oncology Biorepository (TIOB) is to collect and store well-defined and well-annotated serial biospecimens of tissue, blood, urine and stool in a longitudinal manner from cancer patients who are receiving either standard of care surgical interventions and or FDA approved immunotherapeutics across the largest not-for-profit health system in Texas. Comprehensive clinical and radiological data from a diverse population of patients with different racial, social and eth... Read More

The Natural History of Danon Disease
Recruiting
Danon disease (DD) is a rare, X-linked disorder associated with severe cardiomyopathy, and in many cases, skeletal myopathy, and cognitive impairment caused by mutations in the LAMP2 gene. There is still uncertainty regarding the natural history of DD because of its rarity. This study aims to determine the natural history of DD through the collection and analysis of retrospective and prospective data. To achieve this, the investigators will perform surveys and obtain medical records from DD pat... Read More

Immunomodulatory Effects of Fasting in Healthy Adults
Recruiting
This is a clinical trial assessing the effects of fasting on the immune system in healthy adults. Immune profiling, gene expression profiling, and flow cytometry on peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) will be performed and we hypothesize that a period of fasting will alter the immune system in healthy adults.

Enhancement of Behavioral and Cognitive Outcomes in Autism Spectrum Disorder Via Neurostimulation
Recruiting
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) encompasses a range of limitations in reciprocal social and communicative milestones, as well as restrictive and/or repetitive patterns of behavior which lead to significant functional challenges impacting individuals throughout their lifespan. There are major shortcomings in the existing pharmacological interventions; they are of limited efficacy, target a subset of problematic behaviors, and fail to improve social cognition. To overcome these limitations and impr... Read More

EEG Brain-Machine Interface Control of an Upper-Limb Robotic Exoskeleton for Robot-Assisted Rehabilitation After Stroke
Recruiting
The goal of this study is to develop a clinically feasible, low-cost, nonsurgical neurorobotic system for restoring function to motor-impaired stroke survivors that can be used at the clinic or at home. Moreover, another goal is to understand how physical rehabilitation assisted by robotic device combined with electroencephalograph (EEG) can benefit adults who have had stroke to improve functions of their weaker arm. The proposed smart co-robot training system (NeuroExo) is based on a physical... Read More
