The purpose of this study is to gather information and compare the potential use of pupillometry to identify concussions and post concussive syndrome with standard age appropriate assessments. The study will compare concussed pediatric patients 5-17 years of age recruited from the emergency department within 72 hours following injury with age and gender matched non-concussed pediatric patients recruited from primary care clinics. Assessment of both concussed and non-concussed subjects will take place at the initial enrollment visit and will be repeated at 1-2 weeks for the concussed subjects and at 12-14 weeks for both groups. Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) of chronic total occlusions (CTOs) is increasingly being performed in patients with advanced coronary artery disease, but there is limited information on the techniques utilized and the procedural outcomes. The goal of this multicenter, investigator initiated registry is to collect information on treatment strategies and outcomes of consecutive patients undergoing CTO PCI among various participating centers. The information collected will be used to determine the frequency of CTO PCI performed at the participating sites and examine the procedural strategies utilized, and the procedural (both immediate and during follow-up) outcomes. Dravet syndrome (DS) is an epileptic encephalopathy caused by pathogenic variants in the SCN1A gene resulting in medically refractory epilepsy and psychomotor delays. As a pilot study assessing for feasibility, the investigators aim to test whether alterations in cortical excitatory:inhibitory ratio can be reliably recorded. The investigators will utilize transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) metrics of cortical excitatory and inhibitory tone as an initial step towards translating findings from rodent genetic models of DS into disease-specific biomarkers and offer future measures of therapeutic target engagement in this patient population. The COPD Patient-Powered Research Network (COPD PPRN) is a patient research registry with the goal of enrolling 75,000 or more COPD patients and those at risk who are willing to share their heath information over several years and participate in research. The COPD PPRN has built an online platform to allow volunteers to enroll electronically, complete surveys, be contacted about studies they qualify for and become connected to COPD resources. The purpose of this pilot study is to determine whether two weeks of multi-channel FES along with task-specific training will improve UE function when compared to traditional rehabilitation or usual care. The secondary purpose of this study is to find whether two weeks of multi-channel FES along with task-specific training will improve shoulder range of motion, grip strength, and patient reported function when compared to traditional rehabilitation or usual care in patients with unilateral stroke resulting in hemiplegia.The following null hypotheses are established for this study: There will be no difference in UE function when using multi-channel FES along with task-specific training compared to traditional rehabilitation or usual care in patients with first time stroke and hemiplegia during in patient stroke rehabilitation. There will be no difference in shoulder range of motion and grip strength when using multi-channel FES along with task-specific training compared to traditional rehabilitation or usual care in patients with first time stroke and hemiplegia during in patient stroke rehabilitation. There will be no difference in self-reported upper extremity function when using multi-channel FES along with task-specific training compared to traditional rehabilitation or usual care in patients with first time stroke and hemiplegia during in patient stroke rehabilitation.The research design for this experimental study will be a randomized controlled trial. The manipulated independent variable in this study will be 1) FES using Xcite with traditional therapy and 2) traditional therapy. Kidney transplantation is a good treatment option for people with kidney disease. However, there is still much to learn about how to best care for the transplanted kidney and keep it functioning for a long time. Transplant recipients receive induction therapy and immunosuppression (anti-rejection) drugs to prevent their body from rejecting the new kidney. These drugs are used to prevent the immune system from attacking the transplanted kidney. This research study will evaluate the safety and activity of mesenchymal stromal stem cells (MSCs) infusion compared to saline-only infusion in reducing the immune suppression necessary to achieve optimal renal function in renal transplant recipients. This is a single arm study of home monitoring with the NVHO for 5 weeks with office visits at enrollment, Week 1 and Week 5 (Exit Visit) and, when applicable, Interim Visit(s) triggered by ongoing review by the Reading Center. The study will enroll subjects diagnosed with NV-AMD in at least one eye with attention to the proportion of eyes with IRF and/or SRF. The enrolled eligible subjects will be instructed to self-image the study eye(s) once daily for 5 weeks using a NVHO device at home with scheduled in-office examinations at Week 1, Week 5 and Interim Visits, when applicable, with additional in-office Cirrus volume scans acquired at these office visits. The self-imaging data on the NVHO will be automatically uploaded to the Notal Health Cloud and from there the reconstructed volume scans will sent to the study database. Read Less

The goal of the research is to assess candidate COVID-19 rapid diagnostic tests (e.g. immunodiagnostic antibody tests, like Cellex qSARS-CoV-2 IgG/IgM Rapid Test, or antigen tests, like Turklab Test-It COVID-19 Home Test, AllBio Science Inc. and Artron Laboratories Inc. rapid COVID-19 antigen tests in order to judge their clinical accuracy compared to Centers for Disease Control (CDC)-recommended molecular genetic testing and clinical diagnosis. Second, it is our goal to determine if self-testing assisted by COVIDscanDX mobile device camera acquisition software platform and telemedicine clinical/technical support (virtual point-of-care) improves the ease of use and immediate interpretation of the tests, thus making self-testing comparable in accuracy and safety to testing in a clinical setting. Third, we are testing antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 after diagnosis with COVID-19 or following vaccination to measure the onset and time course of detectable antibodies from finger-stick blood drops and rapid antibody lateral flow tests. The overall purpose of the study is to dramatically increase the capacity of COVID-19 testing by establishing the safety, ease-of-use and validity of self-testing assisted by mobile device imaging and telemedicine remote support and provide evidence of antibody time-course response to vaccination.
