Addressing Anxiety and Stress for Healthier Eating in Teens
Recruiting
Project ASSET will explore the preliminary efficacy of interpersonal therapy, when compared with cognitive behavioral therapy, for reducing anxiety symptoms, preventing excess weight gain, and reducing cardio-metabolic risk in adolescent girls with above-average weight and elevated anxiety. As a pilot for a larger multi-site study, this trial will also test multi-site feasibility, acceptability, and intervention fidelity.

Identification/Characterization of Changes in Microscopic Colitis
Recruiting
The goal of this study is to establish a prospective observational cohort of adult patients with microscopic colitis and collect clinical information and specimens over the course of their treatment. This information will be used in order to establish a patient registry with detailed clinical data and a specimen repository for future research as well as to specifically identify genetic and molecular characteristics associated with microscopic colitis.

Verticalization Robotic Exoskeleton DoC
Recruiting
Mobilization, specifically verticalization, has been shown to play a role in enhancing consciousness. Vestibular stimulation has the potential to influence the neural substrate of consciousness, but this modality has not been thoroughly explored. The primary aim of this study is to compare the influence of verticalization with and without vestibular input on level of consciousness in patients experiencing disorders of consciousness (DoC).

Genetic Mechanism of Conserved Ancestral Haplotype in SCA10
Recruiting
Spinocerebellar ataxia type 10 (SCA10) is a hereditary ataxia whose ancestral mutation occurred in East Asia. The mutation is likely to have migrated during peopling of American continents from East Asia. We found a specific rare DNA variation associated with SCA10. We test whether this variation played a key role in the birth and subsequent spreading of SCA10 mutation.

Early Mobilization Following Volar Locking Plate Fixation of Distal Radius Fractures
Recruiting
The overall purpose of this study is to establish the utility of early mobilization in improving patient satisfaction following plate and screw fixation of wrist fractures. Subjects will have objective range of motion data collected and subjective survey data collected at 2 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months, and 1 year after being randomized either to an early mobilization group that receives a removable wrist splint or a late mobilization group that is placed in a splint for 2 weeks post-operatively.
