Phase I/II Study to Reduce Post-transplantation Cyclophosphamide Dosing for Older or Unfit Patients Undergoing Bone Marrow Transplantation for Hematologic Malignancies
Recruiting
Background: Certain blood cancers can be treated with blood or bone marrow transplants. Sometimes the donor cells attack the recipient's body, called graft-versus-host disease (GVHD). The chemotherapy drug cyclophosphamide helps reduce the risk and severity of GVHD. Researchers want to learn if using a lower dose of cyclophosphamide may reduce the drug's side effects while maintaining its effectiveness. Such an approach is being used in an ongoing clinical study at the NIH with promising result... Read More

Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative 4
Recruiting
Since its launch in 2004, the overarching aim of the Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) Study has been to validate biomarkers for Alzheimer's disease (AD) clinical trials. ADNI4 continues the previously funded ADNI1, ADNI-GO, ADNI2, and ADNI3 studies that have combined public/private collaborations between academia and industry to determine the relationships between the clinical, cognitive, imaging, genetic and biochemical biomarker characteristics of the entire spectrum of AD.

Study of the PTH-independent Effects of Encaleret on Mineral Homeostasis in Subjects With Postsurgical Hypoparathyroidism (PSH)
Recruiting
Background: Parathyroid glands in the neck make a hormone that keeps blood calcium levels stable. Sometimes these glands are damaged or removed during neck surgery. This can lead to a condition called postsurgical hypoparathyroidism (PSH). People with PSH have low levels of calcium in their blood. Calcium and vitamin D pills can help them keep their blood calcium levels steady. But this can increase calcium in the urine and result in kidney problems. New treatments for PSH are needed. Objectiv... Read More

Internet-Based Lifestyle Intervention (iLIVE) to Eradicate Obese Frailty in Prostate Cancer Survivors
Recruiting
This clinical trial tests the effectiveness of an online weight loss plus resistance training intervention (iLIVE) to decrease obesity and improve frailty in men with prostate cancer who received androgen deprivation therapy (ADT). Androgen deprivation therapy increases the risk of frailty, weight gain and obesity in prostate cancer survivors. The combination of frailty and obesity can lead to a decrease in quality of life and an increased risk of recurrent falls. Using iLIVE may improve obesity... Read More
