Moderate Aerobic Exercise for Managing Menstrual Cycle Symptoms
Recruiting
The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate the impact of moderate aerobic exercise on menstrual symptom management in sedentary women both using and not using hormonal contraceptives. The main questions it aims to answer are: Is there a reduction in physical and/or psychological menstrual cycle related symptom burden with participation in moderate aerobic exercise for sedentary women using and not using hormonal contraceptives? Is there a difference in physical and/or psychological menstru... Read More

EEG Biomarkers for OUD: Diagnostic, Prognostic, and Predictive Applications
Recruiting
The US is suffering from a national opioid epidemic characterized by significant costs, overdoses, and deaths. Conventional Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) treatments (i.e., pharmacological and psychosocial interventions) are characterized by limited or diminishing efficacy, ceiling effects, and/or serious side effects. The availability of validated OUD biomarkers would be a key step in the development and approval of better treatments. Ultimately, the scarcity of OUD biomarkers represents a significa... Read More

Balloon Guide Versus Conventional Guide Catheter in Stroke Thrombectomy
Recruiting
The purpose of this clinical trial is to study the two main types of approaches used in stroke thrombectomy and to investigate if one approach is more effective than the other, as this is currently not known. This study will be conducted in adults who have been diagnosed with an acute ischemic stroke and who are undergoing a thrombectomy for the treatment of their stroke. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Does the use of a balloon guide catheter versus a conventional guide catheter lo... Read More

The Food Environment, Microbial Cysteine Metabolism, and Cancer Disparities
Recruiting
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if changing cysteine levels in the diet can influence how the body processes cysteine in Black and White individuals aged 45-75 with a history of non-cancerous polyps. The main questions it aims to answer are: * At the beginning of the study, do Black participants have higher levels of cortisol (a stress hormone) and compounds made from cysteine in their blood when compared to White participants? * Does eating less cysteine lower the body's natural cy... Leukapheresis to Obtain Plasma or Lymphocytes for Studies of HIV-infected Patients, Including Long-term Non-progressors
Recruiting
This study will collect white blood cells and plasma for research on how the immune system controls HIV infection. The immune system of a very small group of HIV-infected patients, called non-progressors, has been able to control HIV for long periods without antiretroviral therapy. Some immune system-related genes important for this control have been identified in these patients. This study will examine the contribution of HLA genes B\*57+, B\*27+ and A\*01+ to HIV disease in progressors and lon... Read More

Natural History of Craniofacial Anomalies and Developmental Growth Variants
Recruiting
Background: Some head and facial abnormalities are rare and present at birth. Others are more common, and may not show up until puberty. These conditions have different causes and characteristics. Researchers want to learn more about these conditions by comparing people with face, head, and neck abnormalities to family members and to healthy volunteers without such conditions. Objectives: To learn more about abnormal development of the face, head, and neck. To determine their genetic variants... Read More

Factors Affecting Post-transplant Cyclophosphamide (PTCy) Efficacy
Recruiting
This study will examine the influence of donor and recipient pharmacogenetics (PG), drug pharmacokinetics (PK), and T cell phenotypes and how it may permit a tailored dosing strategy to improve the therapeutic index of post-transplant cyclophosphamide (PTCy) and optimize the graft versus tumor effect, while minimizing acute and chronic graft versus host disease (GVHD).
