The purpose of this study is to assess antidepressant efficacy differences between ALTO-100 and placebo during the Double-Blind period in patients with bipolar disorder I or II with current major depressive episode, when used adjunctively to a mood stabilizer and/or atypical antipsychotic, related to patient characteristics. This project will determine the safety and effectiveness of a MiGo Tracker RTM program in a randomized controlled trial with individuals with subacute stroke (N=50). Participants will be randomly assigned to either the MiGo Tracker RTM program (intervention group) or prescription of home exercises with no monitoring (usual care/control group). All participants will still receive usual post-stroke care, including outpatient rehabilitation. The main question this study aims to answer is: Does a MiGo Tracker RTM program lead to significantly greater motor recovery at three-months post stroke than the usual care group. If successful, MiGo Tracker will lead to increased home exercise adherence and improved health outcomes for thousands of individuals following stroke. Read Less

This study will test the hypothesis that the QuitVaping (QV) intervention and additional texting support will improve nicotine abstinence rates in adolescents as compared to Enhanced Usual Care (EUC: education about nicotine, vaping and addiction, advice to quit vaping, referral to TIQ texting support). This study evaluates the postoperative outcomes of patients who are admitted to the Mayo Clinic Florida Care Hotel after mastectomy and tissue expander placement. At Mayo Clinic Florida, patients receiving low risk surgeries are often admitted to the hospital overnight for observation. A new model of delivering patient care was created at the Mayo Clinic Florida coined the "Care Hotel." This is a temporal, voluntary accommodation that offers patients a comfortable environment to receive nursing care before or after hospital treatment with in-person daytime monitoring and 24-hour virtual tele-monitoring in a hotel setting. This study evaluates post operative complications in patients who underwent mastectomy followed by tissue expander reconstruction and were admitted to the Care Hotel for overnight observation compared to the standard hospital admission and those who are discharged home. This is an open-label, phase I/II study of duvelisib in combination with Venetoclax for patients with relapsed/refractory NHL. Duvelisib is an FDA approved, marketed product used to treat certain patients with leukemia and lymphoma and Venetoclax, which is approved for treatment of certain patients with acute myeloid leukemia. The combination of these two drugs is experimental. Experimental means that it is not approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The purpose of this study is to compare CBT VR exposure + VR social skills treatment to CBT Imaginal exposure + mindfulness, in reducing the severity of social anxiety in adults with autism and social anxiety (SA), to identify characteristics associated with benefitting from the CBT-VR treatment and to assess acceptability and feasibility of the VR intervention for patients receiving it and use findings to improve methods and to prepare for a community based pragmatic trial. A substantial majority of Veterans with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) continue to suffer even with the best current medications. Progress in developing more effective medications is hampered by the substantial variability within Veterans with PTSD, meaning the most effective medication likely varies from individual to individual. New scientific tools to help identify distinct subgroups of Veterans with PTSD who are likely to respond to specific medications could help improve treatment in this population. Research has indicated that a specific subgroup of Veterans with PTSD with a high level of anxious arousal may benefit from medications which boost signaling of the neurotransmitter gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). This project aims to validate a clinical test to identify these individuals using new computational and neuroimaging methods combined with the medication lorazepam, a positive GABA modulator. The ultimate goal is to use these methods in future clinical trials of new medications to target the best treatments to individual Veterans with PTSD. Read Less

The goal of the study to understand the effects of weight loss and improvements in diabetes following bariatric surgery on brain function and thinking. This study will also examine whether non-invasive transcutaneous vagal nerve stimulation (tVNS) intervention initiated 30 days post-surgery improves brain function and thinking.
