The goal of this study is to compare the cost and clinical outcomes for two temporary dressings (Allograft and PermeaDerm) used in patients that need a skin graft to heal their wound. The researchers will review cost and other treatment results including how well both temporary dressings attach to the skin, how prepared the wound bed is to receive a skin graft, how long it takes for the skin to be ready to receive a skin graft, how well the skin graft takes and any complications. Patients will first have the temporary dressing applied to their wound, then a few days later, a skin graft will be performed. Patients will have photos of their wounds taken throughout the study including at all the clinic check-ups with the last check-up occurring about 8 weeks after treatment. Read Less

This is a medical research study to test a medication in patients 4 years of age and older with a disease called medium-chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase deficiency (MCADD) caused by the common ACADM c.985 A\>G (K304E) mutation. The medication is sodium phenylbutyrate (ACER-001), which is currently FDA approved for the treatment of Urea Cyle Disorders. Previous research suggests that sodium phenylbutyrate may also be effective in the treatment MCADD. This is an open-label, single dose, single arm, multicenter Phase 2b study to establish the imaging performance of RAD101 PET in participants who are ≥ 18 years of age and with suspected recurrent brain metastases from solid tumors. The study consists of a 4-week Screening Period, a 3-day Imaging and Safety Follow-Up Period, and a Data Collection Period of up to 6 months. Participant eligibility will be determined during the Screening Period and eligible participants will be enrolled in the study. On Day 1, the enrolled participants will receive a single dose of the investigational medicinal product (IMP), RAD101. Participants will then proceed with a whole brain PET scan. A high-resolution Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) will be performed in joint acquisition with PET or separately on the same day. A phone follow-up will be performed on Day 3 (+ 1 day). Participants will have follow-up (longitudinal) MRI scans (longitudinal imaging) and/ or a biopsy according to their Standard of Care (SoC). The longitudinal MRI results, and details of the biopsy if performed as part of SoC (i.e., location and histopathology results), will be collected during the 6- month Data Collection Period. This study is designed as a prospective, open label, single arm pilot clinical study that will establish the safety and efficacy of a single injection of mesenchymal stromal cells in patients. Each subject will receive one intra-articular injection of autologous mesenchymal stromal cells derived from infrapatellar fat pad (FP-MSC) tissue samples collected from the subject during anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction surgery. Sense of smell tends to decline in individuals with early Alzheimer's disease, typically earlier than when other senses and thinking abilities begin to decline. Memory for new odors is particularly diminished in these individuals. Existing treatments for AD do not improve these symptoms. A targeted treatment for improving sense of smell, called 'Olfactory Training', has been used to improve sense of smell in people with various forms of smell loss, though it is not known whether it can improve smell abilities and thinking abilities in patients who are at high risk of developing Alzheimer's disease. The investigators will conduct a randomized clinical trial with patients who have mild cognitive impairment (MCI). This is an early phase of memory loss that is worse than normal aging and may precede Alzheimer's disease. Patients will be randomized to either olfactory memory training or visual memory training for 3 months, with a final follow-up visit at 6 months. This study will attempt to determine if olfactory training is a useful for improving smell abilities, thinking abilities, and everyday functioning by examining change in these outcomes over time.
