A Study of TAK-411 in Adults With Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyradiculoneuropathy (CIDP)
Recruiting
CIDP is an autoimmune disease. This means that the body's germ fighting (immune) system attacks itself. In CIDP, the immune system attacks the protective covering around the nerves called myelin. Over time, these nerves lose their ability to send signals to the muscles in the body. This leads to muscle weakness and loss of sensation in arms and legs among other symptoms. Participants with CIDP can be treated with a protein called immunoglobulin (or IG). TAK-411 is a special type of immune globu... Read More

Pre-malignant States to Hematologic Malignancies in Firefighters

BFRT for Subacromial Pain
Recruiting
The goal of this pilot clinical trial is to learn if blood flow restriction training is safe and feasible in patients with subacromial pain. The main questions the investigators aim to answer are: * What problems do participants with shoulder pain encounter when training with blood flow restriction? * Is it feasible to apply blood flow restriction training as part of a physical therapy intervention? * What are some preliminary effects of blood flow restriction training on the recovery of should... Actívatexto: Advancing Smoking Cessation and Physical Activity Among Latinos
Recruiting
The purpose of this randomized controlled trial is to assess the efficacy of Actívatexto (Aim 1) and the mediators of the presumed treatment effect (Aim 2) among Latino adults who smoke. Actívatexto is a mobile intervention that integrates four components: 1) a text messaging program that promotes both smoking cessation and physical activity, 2) wearable devices to monitor physical activity, 3) smoking cessation pharmacotherapy \[i.e., nicotine replacement therapies (NRT)\], and 4) an online das... Effects of Distinct Nebraska-Dry Bean Market Classes on Gut Microbiota
Recruiting
Beans are well known for their health benefits. Many of these benefits relate to gut health, as many of the nutrients found in beans support beneficial microbes that live in the gut. However, beans have a lot of genetic diversity. This diversity has led to different bean market classes with different colors, sizes, and nutrient profiles. Differences between bean market classes may trigger different effects on gut microbes and health, but this is poorly understood. The goal of the pilot clinical... Read More
