Providing Access to the Visual Environment is a pediatric low vision grant which has the ability to provide comprehensive, interdisciplinary low vision rehabilitation services to every child in Tennessee with a vision impairment. Children, ages 3-21, with best-corrected vision of 20/50 or worse in the better seeing eye are prescribed optical devices to improve their visual functioning and trained to use the devices. The purpose of this study is to collect medical information from a large number of patients in many areas of the world with primary hyperoxaluria (PH), Dent disease, Cystinuria and APRT deficiency. This information will create a registry that will help us to compare similarities and differences in patients and their symptoms. The more patients we are able to enter into the registry, the more we will be able to understand the Primary Hyperoxalurias,Dent disease, cystinuria and APRT and learn better ways of caring for patients with these diseases. The intervention in this trial is intraocular islet transplantation. A single dose of 1000 - 3000 Islet Equivalents (IEQ)/kg recipient body weight (BW) will be infused into the anterior chamber of the eye through a self-sealing incision in the peripheral cornea. The procedure is projected to take approximately 20-30 minutes. Subject will remain flat on their back for 1 - 3 hours after islet infusion to maximize adhesion of the islets to the iris. Read Less

Obesity affects over one third of US adults (\>72 million, with BMI ≥30 kg/m2), and the proportion of US adults with BMI ≥40 kg/m2 has doubled in the last 20 years. Obesity is associated with increased mortality through its linkage to comorbidities including diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, osteoarthritis, sleep apnea and psychosocial disturbances. Given its prevalence, impact on morbidity and mortality, and economic cost, limiting the spread of obesity and its consequences is one of the most important problems of our time. This will be a prospective cohort study of patients with liver disease. Subjects will undergo geriatric assessments of frailty, functional status, and disability using functional status measures at baseline and at every clinic visit in the pre-transplant setting. Subjects will also answer questions regarding quality of life, personality, and/or cognitive function.
