Genetic Analysis-Guided Irinotecan Hydrochloride Dosing of mFOLFIRINOX in Treating Patients With Locally Advanced Gastroesophageal or Stomach Cancer
Recruiting
This pilot clinical trial studies genetic analysis-guided irontecan hydrochloride dosing of modified fluorouracil, irinotecan hydrochloride, leucovorin calcium, oxaliplatin (mFOLFIRINOX) in treating patients with gastroesophageal or stomach cancer that has spread from where it started to nearby tissue or lymph nodes. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as fluorouracil, irinotecan hydrochloride, leucovorin calcium, and oxaliplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by... Read More

Transcranial Electrical Stimulation (TES) at Slow Oscillation (SO) Frequency During NREM Sleep
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to determine if the enhancement of electroencephalographic (EEG) slow-wave activity using transcranial electrical stimulation (TES) at Slow Oscillation (SO) frequency, during a restricted period of nocturnal sleep, enhances the restorative properties of that period of sleep and improves performance during a subsequent period of sleep deprivation.

Intralesional 5-Fluorouracil (5FU), Topical Calcipotriene Treatment for SCC
Recruiting
This clinical trial proposes to evaluate a relatively unexplored approach to treatment of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) on the lower extremities. The strategy is to directly and specifically deliver drug to the tumor. For the proposed phase I clinical trial, the investigators will perform intralesional injections of a well characterized, potent chemotherapeutic agent 5-fluorouracil (5FU) with and without a topical application of 0.005% calcipotriene cream to kill topically accessible SCC cells.... Regional Radiotherapy in Biomarker Low-Risk Node Positive and T3N0 Breast Cancer
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to compare the effects on low risk breast cancer receiving usual care that includes regional radiation therapy, with receiving no regional radiation therapy. Researchers want to see if not giving this type of radiation treatment works as well at preventing breast cancer from coming back.

Stereotactic Radiosurgery Compared With Hippocampal-Avoidant Whole Brain Radiotherapy (HA-WBRT) Plus Memantine for 5 or More Brain Metastases
Recruiting
Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) is a commonly used treatment for brain tumors. It is a one-day (or in some cases two day), out-patient procedure during which a high dose of radiation is delivered to small spots in the brain while excluding the surrounding normal brain. Whole brain radiation therapy with hippocampal avoidance (HA-WBRT) is when radiation therapy is given to the whole brain, while trying to decrease the amount of radiation that is delivered to the area of the hippocampus. The hipp... Read More

A Study of NanO2™ Combined With Radiation and Temozolomide in Patients With Newly Diagnosed GBM
Recruiting
This clinical trial is testing the safety and efficacy of NanO2TM administered via intravenous infusion in combination with standard radiation and chemotherapy. NanO2TM is being developed to increase the amount of oxygen delivered to tumors which is hoped to increase the effectiveness of radiation therapy.

Neurobiological Mechanisms of Aging and Stress on Prospective Navigation
Recruiting
Two hallmarks of both healthy aging and age-related disease are 1) memory and navigational deficits, particularly in orienting towards goal locations and planning how to navigate to them, and 2) increased susceptibility to stress and altered regulation of the stress response. However, there are marked individual differences in these age-related changes. The investigators' proposal will help characterize factors that contribute to this variability. Participants will be pseudorandomly assigned to... Read More
