The human immune system is designed to protect individuals from external sources of infection and internal cell mutation. It works effectively and efficiently until inflammation disturbs its functioning. Once compromised by inflammation, the immune system loses its capacity to recognize antigens and dependably defend the body against disease and illness. When COVID-19 invades humans, it causes an immune-storm (cytokine-storm) that can directly damage the organ(s), leading to death. The primary objective of this study is to test the effect of a diet and exercise program in older adults with insulin resistance and a motivation disorder known as apathy. The main questions the study aims to answer are: 1. Does the diet and exercise program improve insulin resistance and apathy? 2. Does the addition of soybean to the diet enhance the effect? Participants will be given all meals for 12 weeks and will exercise under supervision. They will undergo a test of insulin sensitivity and complete questionnaires. Researchers will compare the groups given: 1. A diet to moderate the blood glucose response that contains soybean; and 2. A diet to moderate the blood glucose response that does not contain soybean. This is a study of amlitelimab for the treatment of participants with moderate-to-severe asthma. The study will have a double-blind treatment period until Week 24 for each participant and an open-label treatment period where each participant will receive open-label amlitelimab from Week 24 onwards. The purpose of this study is to evaluate long-term safety, tolerability, and efficacy of amlitelimab for the treatment of adult participants with moderate-to-severe asthma who have previously been enrolled and completed the treatment period of the parent study. The goal of this study is to test a web-based psychoeducational resource for adolescents with central disorders of hypersomnolence and their families. The investigators hope to assess the website's usability, acceptability, and feasibility, as well as its potential effect on social relationship health. Participants will be asked to review the content of the psychoeducational websites. The participants will then provide feedback on the website, as well as the adolescent's social relationships and social health before and after reviewing the website through online surveys. The goal of this prospective observational study is to determine whether brief intraoperative electrical stimulation and temporary postoperative electrical stimulation improve motor and/or pain outcomes for patients with cervical spinal cord injury undergoing standard of care nerve transfer surgery to improve hand function. The main hypotheses include: Hypothesis #1: Brief intraoperative electrical stimulation of the donor nerves will result in improved motor outcomes (hand function) compared to standard nerve transfer surgery in patients with cervical spinal cord injuries. Hypothesis #2: Placement of a temporary peripheral nerve stimulator for 60 days of postoperative electrical stimulation will result in improved pain outcomes compared to standard nerve transfer surgery in patients with cervical spinal cord injuries. Researchers will prospectively enroll patients with cervical spinal cord injury and no hand function who will undergo standard of care nerve transfer surgery combined with standard of care brief intraoperative electrical stimulation and temporary postoperative electrical stimulation. Motor and pain outcomes will be compared to a retrospective group of patients who underwent nerve transfer surgery without intraoperative or postoperative electrical stimulation. Participants will receive standard medical care (nothing experimental) as part of this study. Participants will: * Have a preoperative assessment including physical examination, electrodiagnostic studies, functional electrical stimulation, and will complete questionnaires assessing function and quality of life * Agree upon a surgical plan, including the specific nerve transfers to be performed and whether to include brief intraoperative electrical stimulation and/or temporary postoperative electrical stimulation before being considered for enrollment in the study * Will undergo standard of care nerve transfer surgery, with at least one nerve transfer targeting improvement in hand function and will receive brief intraoperative electrical stimulation of the donor nerves and placement of a temporary peripheral nerve stimulator * Will follow-up with the surgeon 3, 6, 12, 24, and 36 months after the surgery * Will have a physical examination and will complete questionnaires at the postoperative visits * Will participate in hand therapy following the operation * Will be eligible for placement of a permanent peripheral nerve stimulator, depending on response to the temporary peripheral nerve stimulator. Consuming a carbohydrate-rich food as the final food in a meal, as compared to the first food in a meal, has been shown to reduce blood glucose levels after eating in both diabetes patients and in healthy controls. However, gaps remain in the literature in this area of research, and currently little is known about how substrate (fuel) use is impacted by altering food order. In addition, most studies to date have used a mix of meat and plant foods, while little research has focused exclusively on vegetarian foods. All participants will read a decision aid (DA) communicating evidence about mammography screening benefits and harms. Participants' evaluations of that evidence will be assessed, along with their screening intentions and receipt of screening. Participants will be sent 3 surveys via email and a final brief survey conducted by email or phone. The four surveys will be collected 1) upon enrollment and prior to the primary care appointment; 2) following the primary care appointment; 3) 3 months after enrollment; 4) 1 year after enrollment. The final 2 surveys will offer an increased incentive to increase retention rates. Read Less

This study has the potential to contribute to a more complete understanding of the independent and combined effects of cannabis use and HIV on the brain and on inflammation. Such knowledge may inform future strategies for treating brain disease and inflammation. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups, both of which will receive the same treatment in a different order over a period of about 6 weeks.
