Cannabis, HIV and Mental Processing Systems
Recruiting
This study employs novel methods to identify key determinants and consequences of concurrent HIV infection and regular cannabis use. This study will acquire extensive phenotype data from peripheral and brain markers of immune activation, brain structure, and neuropsychological performance (NP) in persons living with HIV (PLWH) receiving combination anti-retroviral therapy (cART) (80 regular cannabis users and 80 non-users) and HIV uninfected (HIV-) controls (80 regular cannabis users and 80 non-... Mosaic Mitral Valve: Long-Term Outcomes in Patients Under 65
Recruiting
The safety and efficacy of the Mosaic bioprosthetic heart valves for cardiac valve replacement in the aortic position has been well documented throughout the literature. However, few studies assessing structural valve deficiency, patient outcomes and overall product performance in patients under the age of 65 exists for the Mosaic mitral valve bioprosthetic. This study aims to assess valve efficacy, stability, and post operative outcomes in patients who have received the Mosaic mitral valve prot... Read More

Gene Therapy for Adenosine Deaminase Severe Combined Immune Deficiency Using Peripheral Blood and EFS ADA Vector
Recruiting
The aim of this study is to assess the safety and efficacy of autologous transplantation of hematopoietic stem cells (CD34+ cells) from mobilized peripheral blood (mPB) of ADA-deficient SCID infants and children following human ADA gene transfer by the EFS-ADA lentiviral vector. The level of gene transfer in blood cells and immune function will be measured as endpoints.
