Detailed Description The doula-led intervention developed during the first phase of this project will be pilot tested for feasibility. Following the recruitment procedures described in the recruitment and retention plan, approximately 75 participants will be enrolled into the study. Twenty-five of the participants will receive regular doula care and 25 of the participants will receive care from a doula trained in the PMAD doula training throughout their pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum time period, following the intervention procedures developed in Aim 2 of this study. Twenty-five women will not receive care from a doula and will receive perinatal care as usual. Women in all groups will take surveys via REDCap during their enrollment in the intervention, at 1 month postpartum, 3 months, and 6 months postpartum (at the conclusion of the intervention). All participants who receive the PMAD doula intervention will complete checklists after each session with their doula, to assess fidelity to the intervention. Sleep-wake disturbances are a major factor associated with reduced quality of life of individuals with Parkinson's disease (PD), a progressive neurological disorder affecting millions of people in the U.S and worldwide. The brain mechanisms underlying these sleep disorders, and the effects of therapeutic interventions such as deep brain stimulation on sleep-related neuronal activity and sleep behavior, are not well understood. Results from this study will provide a better understanding of the brain circuitry involved in disordered sleep in PD and inform the development of targeted therapeutic interventions to treat sleep disorders in people with neurodegenerative disease. Prospective evaluation of the safety and effectiveness of the MISHA Knee System. The study will collect data on the procedural and long-term adverse events, WOMAC pain and function scores, KSS satisfaction, subsequent surgical interventions, BMI levels, range of motion, UCLA activity level of the subjects, and perform radiographic/x-ray evaluations at clinical visits through 5 years post-procedure. The primary analysis of this study is freedom from device- and procedure-related SSIs at five (5) years post-implantation. This study will also assess device performance in subjects with intact and retained devices and subjects with devices removed prior to study termination and freedom from conversion to arthroplasty through 5 years. This phase II trial compares the safety, side effects and effectiveness of reduced dose radiation therapy to standard of care dose radiation in treating patients with indolent non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays, particles, or radioactive seeds to kill cancer cells and shrink tumors. Standard of care radiation treatment for indolent non-Hodgkin lymphoma is usually delivered in 12 treatments. Studies have shown indolent lymphoma to be sensitive to radiation treatment, however, larger doses have higher rates of toxicities. A reduced radiation dose may be safe, tolerable and/or effective compared to standard of care radiation dose in treating patients with indolent non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Read Less

This project is designed to test a brief therapy to reduce suicidal ideation among a diverse sample of youths ages 12 to 17 who experience anxiety or depression. The goal of the study is to conduct a clinical trial testing whether this therapy reduces suicidal ideation and related beliefs that one is a burden on others. This project will contribute to the field by potentially showing evidence supportive of a brief strategy to reduce suicidal ideation in a way that can be readily understood and used by mental health providers in the community. MyPEEPS Mobile Plus, a multi-level intervention for improving HIV prevention outcomes in YMSM, is a novel and evidence-driven approach using mobile technology to deliver HIV prevention information specifically developed for YMSM. Building on strong preliminary work, the proposed research is the next logical step in a body of work designed to assess whether refinement of this mobile intervention used in combination with virtual PrEP Peer Navigation will result in improvements in PrEP uptake and a reduction in HIV-related behavior. Chronic Allograft Nephropathy (CAN)/Interstitial fibrosis and Tubular Atrophy (IFTA) is responsible for most kidney transplant failures. CAN/IFTA on a 3 month kidney biopsy strongly predicts graft survival long term. CAN/IFTA remains a vexing problem for clinicians because current monitoring tools, namely the serum creatinine concentration, are not sensitive to early changes in glomerular filtration rate (GFR) or to histologic damage. Despite advances in prevention of acute rejection (AR), it is still a significant and potentially devastating complication of solid organ transplantation. One strategy to reduce the risk of rejection is to perform kidney biopsies to detect subclinical acute rejection (SCAR) and treat to prevent progression to rejection. There is evidence that treating SCAR can prevent further immune mediated injury to the kidney, a precursor to CAN/IFTA. Kidney biopsies provide better information but are limited due to safety concerns, patient preference and cost issues. Better, early and less invasive markers of CAN/IFTA will allow early intervention as well as improved graft and better patient outcomes. This study seeks to validate specific proteogenomic biomarker panels for AR and CAN/IFTA in a prospective blood, urine and kidney tissue monitoring study of kidney transplant recipients who will be scheduled for standard of care biopsies.
