PROACTIVE NYS is a long-term follow-up study of all infants who test positive for congenital Cytomegalovirus infection (CMV) throughout New York State on the Newborn Screen. By following all infants who screen positive, we will learn important information about the range of symptoms caused by congenital CMV, from those babies with more severe findings to those with no symptoms. In particular, our study will provide new information about many facets of congenital CMV, including: * Developmental, hearing, neurologic, and vision outcomes * The spectrum and timing of symptoms * The impact congenital CMV has on the baby and its family * How many babies are infected with congenital CMV in New York State How antiviral medications and other interventions impact outcomes of children with congenital CMV Throughout the duration of the study, children will undergo routine developmental and hearing assessments, which will assist with early diagnosis of any infection complications. Any child found to have a neurodevelopmental, hearing, or vision abnormality will be referred for appropriate evaluation and treatment. Families will also be asked to complete periodic surveys about their experience with congenital CMV, both as a medical diagnosis and as it affects their day-to-day activities. Read Less

The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of a commercially-available oil rinse product (PerioPull™) on parameters of dental health among a sample of adults. PerioPull™ is commercially available and sold primarily from clinicians' offices. A 12-week pilot study will be conducted to achieve the purpose of this study. The research team hypothesizes that PerioPull™ will improve a variety of validated markers of dental health that are commonly used in clinical practice. Read Less

150 males and 150 females ages 14-17 years-old will be enrolled in an observational, longitudinal study. There are three planned in-person visits: a baseline assessment, an 18-month follow-up, and a 36-month follow-up. The in-person visits will include assessment of substance use and other individual differences (e.g., reward function, psychiatric history), neuromelanin-sensitive MRI, as well as functional brain activation collected while the participant is at rest (resting-state fMRI) and while the participant completes a Monetary Incentive Delay task. This phase II trial compares the safety, side effects and effectiveness of reduced dose radiation therapy to standard of care dose radiation in treating patients with indolent non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays, particles, or radioactive seeds to kill cancer cells and shrink tumors. Standard of care radiation treatment for indolent non-Hodgkin lymphoma is usually delivered in 12 treatments. Studies have shown indolent lymphoma to be sensitive to radiation treatment, however, larger doses have higher rates of toxicities. A reduced radiation dose may be safe, tolerable and/or effective compared to standard of care radiation dose in treating patients with indolent non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Read Less

The goal of this clinical trial is to compare two active types of transcranial magnetic stimulation in two nicotine-using populations: nicotine-using people with psychosis and nicotine-using people without a diagnosis of a psychotic disorder. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Can rTMS change functional connectivity in brain circuits associated with nicotine use? 2. Are those rTMS-induced changes in functional connectivity related to craving? Participants will complete tasks assessing their cognitive performance and craving before and after each week of TMS. Researchers will compare the effect of each TMS intervention on participants with and without psychosis to see if one type of TMS has an effect on nicotine craving. Read Less

In a previous clinical trial in China and the United States (US), the investigators developed and validated a mobile, high-resolution microendoscope (mHRME) for screening and surveillance of esophageal squamous cell neoplasia (ESCN). The trial revealed higher specificity for qualitative (visual) interpretation by experts but not the novice and in the surveillance arm (100% vs. 19%, p \<0.05). In the screening arm, diagnostic yield (neoplastic biopsies/total biopsies) increased 3.6 times (8 to 29%); 16% of patients were correctly spared any biopsy, and 18% had a change in clinical plan. In a pilot study in Brazil, the investigators tested a software-assisted mHRME with deep-learning software algorithms to aid in the detection of neoplastic images and determine the performance, efficiency, and impact of the AI-mHRME when to Lugol's chromoendoscopy (LCE) alone and when using AI-mHRME with LCE. In this clinical trial, the investigators will build on the Brazil pilot trial data to optimize an artificial intelligence (AI) mHRME and evaluate its clinical impact and implementation potential in ethnically and socioeconomically diverse populations in the US and Brazil.
