Cladribine, Idarubicin, Cytarabine, and Venetoclax in Treating Patients With Acute Myeloid Leukemia, High-Risk Myelodysplastic Syndrome, or Blastic Phase Chronic Myeloid Leukemia
Recruiting
This phase II trial studies how well cladribine, idarubicin, cytarabine, and venetoclax work in patients with acute myeloid leukemia, high-risk myelodysplastic syndrome, or blastic phase chronic myeloid leukemia. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cladribine, idarubicin, cytarabine, and venetoclax, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading.

Personalized NK Cell Therapy in CBT
Recruiting
This phase II clinical trial studies how well personalized natural killer (NK) cell therapy works after chemotherapy and umbilical cord blood transplant in treating patients with myelodysplastic syndrome, leukemia, lymphoma or multiple myeloma. This clinical trial will test cord blood (CB) selection for human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-C1/x recipients based on HLA-killer-cell immunoglobulin-like receptor (KIR) typing, and adoptive therapy with CB-derived NK cells for HLA-C2/C2 patients. Natural kil... Read More

Investigations of Juvenile Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis
Recruiting
Background: CLN3, or Batten disease, is a genetic disorder. This deadly disease leads to decline of brain and nervous system functions. Symptoms of CLN3 typically occur between 4 and 7 years of age. They include changes in how a person sees, thinks, and moves. CLN3 can also cause seizures. No effective treatments for the disease are yet known. There is limited testing of potential therapies. Researchers want to study CLN3 more so they can improve future therapies. Objective: To identify clini... Read More

Human Upper Extremity Allotransplantation: F/U Protocol
Recruiting
Upper extremity allotransplantation is a new procedure which is becoming more common in the United States. Ongoing data collection for research purposes is vital to the long-term assessment as to the safety of the procedure and accompanying immunosuppression protocol, as well as quantifying patient outcomes and changes in quality of life. For these reasons, The Johns Hopkins Hand/Arm Transplantation Team is interested in enrolling transplanted patients in a follow-up protocol to continue collect... Read More

Assessment of Healing and Function After Reconstruction Surgery for Bone Sarcomas
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to look at the amount of function that returns in participants that have reconstruction with bone graft or artificial device and in participants who have tumor surgery plus regenerative osseous surgery. The study will look at the level of function for a period of 3 years after the surgery. Another purpose of this study is to look at how well the bone heals in participants undergoing regenerative surgery

Non-invasive Nerve Stimulation and Sleep
Recruiting
People often have difficulty sleeping. Reasons are many. But, difficulty falling and staying asleep are common issues. Sleep difficulties are common in disorders such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Current treatments for sleep difficulties are not effective for everyone. Better treatments are needed. In this study, the investigators are testing two nerve stimulation locations that may impact brain function in such a way that sleep is improved.
