Exposure Therapy Study In Adults With Eating Disorders
Recruiting
The current proposal will evaluate the feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary efficacy of Exposure Therapy for anorexia nervosa (AN) spectrum disorders (Exp-AN), an innovative treatment rooted in principles of inhibitory learning. Exp-AN will target anxiety about both eating and weight gain by combining in vivo (i.e., in real life) and imaginal (i.e., mental) exposure in novel ways (e.g., eating a feared food while listening to a recording describing fears about weight gain).

177Lu-PSMA (177Lu-PNT2002) in PSMA-Positive Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma
Recruiting
This is a single arm trial with one Cohort for people with recurrent or metastatic adenoid cystic carcinoma that cannot be treated with surgery. 10 participants will be enrolled in Cohort 1 at Johns Hopkins and will undergo DCFPyL PET/CT and 177Lu-PSMA dosimetry imaging only (single tracer dose). A feasibility analysis of dosimetry will be performed after meeting the accrual goal of Cohort 1 to determine if the study will proceed into Cohort 2. If Cohort 2 proceeds, based on the dosimetry analy... Read More

A Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of ESK-001 in Patients With Moderate to Severe Plaque Psoriasis
Recruiting
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if ESK-001 works to treat moderate to severe plaque psoriasis. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Does ESK-001 reduce the severity of people's psoriasis? * How safe is ESK-001 in people with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis? The study includes 2 comparators: a placebo control (a 'dummy' tablet that does not contain the medicine ESK-001 but looks just like it) and an active control (apremilast, which is a medicine approved to treat psorias... A Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of MK-1167 in Participants With Alzheimer's Disease Dementia (MK-1167-008)
Recruiting
Researchers want to learn if giving MK-1167 (the study medicine) along with acetylcholinesterase inhibitor (AChEI) therapy can improve symptoms of Alzheimer's disease dementia (AD dementia), such as memory and mental activity. AD dementia is the most common type of dementia. AChEI therapy is the standard treatment for AD dementia. The goals of this study are to learn: * If at least one dose level (amount) of MK-1167 works to improve a person's memory and thinking compared to a placebo * About... Read More

Normal Values in Hearing and Balance Testing
Recruiting
Background: - Researchers at the National Institutes of Health give many tests of hearing and balance. These tests can help detect problems that affect hearing or balance. It is important to know exactly how healthy people perform on each of these tests. This information will indicate when a test result is normal and when a test result shows a problem. Researchers also want to determine the best methods for each test. Objectives: - To test different types of hearing and balance tests, and col... Read More

DBS for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
Recruiting
There are two primary approaches to the treatment of OCD, pharmacotherapy and cognitive behavior therapy (CBT). Lack of therapeutic success with one approach leads to trials of the alternative approach or a combination of the two. A rarely used third therapy approach, appropriate for only the most severely afflicted and treatment resistant patients, is neurosurgical ablation of certain brain regions involved in mood and anxiety. The neurosurgical ablation procedures are irreversible in nature, a... Read More
