Project REST: Regulation of Eating and Sleep Topography
Recruiting
Overweight/obesity and inadequate sleep are prevalent, and frequently co-occurring, health risks among children, both of which are associated with serious medical and psychosocial health complications including risk for cardiovascular disease. Although the investigator's data suggest that disrupted or shortened sleep may be causally associated with increased energy intake and weight gain in children, and with self-regulation and neural response to food cues in adults, understanding of mechanisms... Azacitidine, Venetoclax, and Gilteritinib in Treating Patients With Recurrent/Refractory FLT3-Mutated Acute Myeloid Leukemia, Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukemia, or High-Risk Myelodysplastic Syndrome/Myeloproliferative Neoplasm
Recruiting
This phase I/II trial studies the side effects and best dose of gilteritinib and to see how well it works in combination with azacitidine and venetoclax in treating patients with FLT3-mutation positive acute myeloid leukemia, chronic myelomonocytic leukemia, or high-risk myelodysplastic syndrome/myeloproliferative neoplasm that has come back (recurrent) or has not responded to treatment (refractory). Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as azacitidine, work in different ways to stop the growth of ca... Read More

ESWL Versus SOPIL for Treatment of Pancreatic Duct Stones
Recruiting
Pancreatic duct stones can cause obstruction of the main pancreatic duct leading to abdominal pain, exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, and recurrent acute pancreatitis. By removing pancreatic duct stones, the obstruction can be relieved, and this can improve symptoms. Small stones can be removed with standard endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and stone removal, but larger stones may require lithotripsy to break up the stone before removal. The two current methods of lithotrip... Read More

A Phase II, Open-Label, Study of Subcutaneous Canakinumab, an Anti-IL-1β Human Monoclonal Antibody, for Patients With Low or Int-1 Risk IPSS/IPSS-R Myelodysplastic Syndromes and Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukemia
Recruiting
This phase II trial studies how well canakinumab works for the treatment of low- or intermediate-risk myelodysplastic syndrome or chronic myelomonocytic leukemia. Canakinumab is a monoclonal antibody that may interfere with the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread.

Effects of Experimental Sleep Disturbances on Receptor Function of Study Drug
Recruiting
The overall goal of this project is to determine whether common sleep disturbance patterns, sleep continuity disturbance (SCD) and Sleep Fragmentation (SF), alter cerebral study drug receptor availability, drug-based analgesia, and drug abuse liability. The investigators specifically aim to: 1) evaluate whether experimental SCD and/or SF alter resting or pain-evoked receptor binding potential in brain regions associated with pain inhibition; 2) examine whether SCD and/or SF alters the analgesic... Right-Size Clinic Visits Using Memora Platform for PROMIS
Recruiting
Developing novel methods of patient communication is crucial in providing value-based care to orthopedic patients. Healthcare technology platforms have been developed to improve patient communication methods particularly for the administration of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs). However, the majority of these interventions rely on web-based platforms that require patients to have computer access. Among American households earning less than $30,000 per year, only 59% have access to a de... Read More

Olaparib and Durvalumab With Carboplatin, Etoposide, and/or Radiation Therapy for the Treatment of Extensive-Stage Small Cell Lung Cancer, PRIO Trial
Recruiting
This phase I/II trials investigates the side effects of olaparib and durvalumab and how well it works in combination with carboplatin, etoposide, and/or radiation therapy in treating patients with extensive stage-small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC) who have not received treatment for their disease. PARPs are proteins that help repair DNA mutations. PARP inhibitors, such as olaparib, can keep PARP from working, so tumor cells can't repair themselves, and they may stop growing. Immunotherapy with mon... Read More

Biomechanical Footwear as a Non-invasive Alternative and Supplement to Total Knee Replacement
Recruiting
Osteoarthritis (OA), the most common type of arthritis, affects more than 32.5 million adults in the United States. It is also among the most expensive condition to treat when joint replacement surgery is required. Although biomechanics plays an important role in OA disease, the non-surgical treatment options addressing biomechanics are scarce with limited effect. AposHealth is the fist biomechanical treatment that was shown to have a significant short-term effect on patients with knee OA. The... Read More
