The objective of this study protocol is to test whether intermittent theta-burst transcranial magnetic stimulation (iTBS-TMS) to the inferior parietal lobule (IPL) can strengthen functional connectivity with a key region in emotion regulation (ER) neurocircuitry (anterior insula, AI) and improve performance on ER-related tasks in patients with bipolar disorder. Individual IPL sites for stimulation will be identified through baseline, pre-TMS functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) scans. Patient-specific IPL subregions showing positive functional connectivity with the anterior insula and falling within the patient-specific frontoparietal control network will be used as individualized target sites for TMS stimulation. Patients will be randomized to receive 24 sessions of active versus sham iTBS to patient-specific IPL targets (6 sessions/day, 4 days, 43,200 pulses total). Post-iTBS resting-state and task-based fMRI scans will be acquired 3 days after the final day of iTBS administration (Day 4) following identical procedures as baseline. Effects of iTBS-TMS on ER will be evaluated by comparing pre-TMS versus post-TMS functional connectivity and behavior during performance on ER tasks. Read Less

Oftentimes, following surgery on the scalp, wounds are left to heal by themselves. This is called "second intention." Open wounds left to heal on the scalp often take 8 weeks or more to completely heal. The investigators are investigating how second intention closure compares to another established reconstruction technique, called "pinch graft." In the pinch graft technique, a dermatological surgeon numbs and then shaves off a thin piece of skin (usually from the groin area) and places it in the wound bed it (also known as "grafting"), to encourage growth of new healthy skin. The goal of this research is to test if a prenatal yoga app can improve well-being in African American/Black (AA) pregnant women. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Is the Down Dog prenatal yoga app feasible for AA pregnant women? 2. How does mental and physical health change after using the Down Dog app for 12-weeks? 3. What cultural adaptations to the Down Dog app are needed? The study lasts for 12 weeks and participants are asked to: * do prenatal yoga with the app for at least 20 min/day, three days/week, from home * wear a Garmin Vivosmart 5 watch daily * complete four online surveys * complete an optional virtual interview This project aims to advance public health by contributing to a broader understanding of how prenatal yoga can support the health and well-being of AA pregnant women and promote optimal maternal and child health outcomes. This phase III trial compares the effect of Wisconsin ginseng (panax quinquefolius) to placebo in patients with cancer that suffer from significant fatigue. Fatigue is among the most challenging symptoms to manage in patients with cancer, both on or off active treatment. This symptom complex meaningfully contributes to psychosocial distress, healthcare costs, and it also interferes with the delivery of anticancer therapies. American ginseng (Western ginseng) appears to be a promising appearing agent for treating cancer related fatigue. Western ginseng may reduce cancer-related fatigue. Read Less

This is a safety and efficacy trial for a Slow Wave, Inc. UASD oral appliance for the treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea. This trial will recruit 60-80 participants through our IRB partner. Each participant will take pre-trial and post trail sleep studies and be measured before, throughout and after the trial for Apnea-Hypopnea Index (AHI), Oxygen Desaturation Index (ODI), pulse rate to determine level of sleep improvement while wearing the device. Safety will also be measured through survey, dental exams and adverse events monitoring. Patients will wear an O2 monitoring ring throughout the study and upload results daily. Primary Objectives will evaluate AHI and ODI between sleep studies. Secondary outcomes will compare the daily ring data to these two sleep studies to evaluate changes over time. Patients will have the opportunity to complete daily diaries on their sleep experiences. Read Less

This study will enroll patients with colorectal cancer that is locally advanced or metastatic. The tumor must be microsatellite stable (MSS), have a tumor mutational burden that is high (TMB-H) and be kras mutated. Patients must have been treated with available approved treatments already. In this study the investigators are testing a new type of immunotherapy, the potent IL-1 inhibitor isunakinra to be added to already approved immunotherapy (PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitor) in an attempt to get this treatment to work in this treatment resistant type of tumor.
