Family Spirit Strengths
Recruiting
This project addresses the disproportionate morbidity and mortality associated with mental and behavioral health problems in American Indian and Alaska Native communities. Access to culturally competent and effective behavioral health services is limited in many of these communities. The investigators aim to address this gap by testing the effectiveness of a trans-diagnostic secondary prevention program, Family Spirit Strengths (FSS) that can be embedded within home visiting services. The FSS pr... Read More

Telehealth Delivered Home-based Walking for Vets With Peripheral Artery Disease
Recruiting
Walking is beneficial for adults with peripheral arterial disease. Benefits include the ability to walk for longer periods and general well being (quality of life). This study will look at two types of delivery methods for a home-based walking program. The walking program includes step count goals, information on healthy walking and motivational messages. The two delivery methods include a web-based delivery and an telehealth delivery. Participants are randomized to either one of the delivery me... Read More

Pathways, a Hope Intervention to Support Personal Goal Pursuit, Mental Health, and Quality of Life During Advanced Lung Cancer Treatment
Recruiting
This study will compare the effects of a brief supportive intervention, called Pathways, against enhanced usual care on the mental health and quality of life of people undergoing treatment for advanced lung cancer. Patients will complete baseline survey measures and be randomized to intervention. Survey measures will be collected again mid-intervention, post-intervention and at 6- and 12-week follow-up, with analyses focused on changes pre- to post-intervention.

Enfamil NeuroPro Study
Recruiting
This study will compare infant gut bacteria for infants who have been fed a standard infant formula (Enfamil Infant); infants who have been fed a new infant formula designed to be more similar to breast milk (Enfamil NeuroPro); and breastfed infants. These formulas are currently available on the market and meet FDA requirements for infant formula.

Telavancin Blood and Cerebrospinal Fluid Concentrations in Patients With Subarachnoid Hemorrhage
Recruiting
The proposed study aims to evaluate the CNS penetration of telavancin in a critically ill population using cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) drawn from external ventricular drains (EVDs) in patients who have had spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). Patients with SAH were chosen as the target population because they frequently require prolonged admission to the intensive care unit and drainage of CSF in order to prevent hydrocephalus. The estimated sample size is 20 subjects. This is a prospective... Read More

School-based Support for Pre-school Aged Children With Developmental Disabilities and Delays
Recruiting
This proposal aims to test whether a proposed community-clinical linkage (CCL), an educational-medical linkage model, improves access to school-based services and subsequent child, parent, family and health service outcomes and offers a promising strategy to address longstanding racial, ethnic and income health care disparities among families with preschool children with developmental delays and disabilities. The investigators designed an educational-clinical linkage model, Preschool and Me (Pre... Read More

Trial of 2 Step ATG for Prevention of Acute GVHD Post Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplant
Recruiting
In an effort to reduce graft versus host disease (GVHD) and enhance graft versus leukemia (GVL) effect post allogenic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (AHSCT), recent research has focused on host immune cell depletion. Frame shifting anti-thymocyte globulin (ATG) backwards to earlier days before days 0 can result in deeper host and less graft T-cell depletion, leading to better immune reconstitution. Preliminary data where 80% of the ATG dose is given on days -6,-5,-4 and 20% given on day... Read More
