The goal of this randomized controlled clinical trial is to demonstrate the safety and effectiveness of the BioPoly® Partial Resurfacing Knee Implant for the treatment of cartilage defects of the distal femur in adult patients with knee pain and symptoms who are candidates for surgical intervention of the knee compared to outcomes for the control group. The primary effectiveness endpoint is Month 24 composite clinical success (CCS) defined by: * no secondary surgical intervention (SSI) and * an improvement from baseline in the Knee injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS) total score (scaled 0 to 100) of at least 10 points. Researchers will compare the CCS for the investigational device group to a control group receiving the standard of care, either microfracture or debridement). Subjects randomized to the investigational group will receive the BioPoly Knee device and those randomized to the control group will receive the current standard of care, either microfracture or debridement. This phase III trial studies how well pafolacianine works for identifying cancerous lesions in children and adolescent patients with primary solid tumors or solid tumors that have spread from where they first started (primary site) to other places in the body (metastatic). Pafolacianine is a fluorescent imaging agent that targets folate receptors which are overexpressed in many cancers and is used with near infrared (NIR) imaging during surgery to identify tumor cells. NIR uses a special camera that uses wavelengths in the infrared range to visualize and locate the tumor cells that are lit up by the pafolacianine. Giving pafolacianine for NIR imaging may work better than other imaging agents in identifying cancerous lesions in pediatric patients with solid tumors. Read Less

The overall goal of the study is to create a standardized, stakeholder-informed system within EMRs, that will enable an equitable and regular prescription and documentation of advanced diabetes technologies. This will reduce racial disparities and generate an understanding of the reasons behind prescription decisions. The study will highlight the development and implementation an EMR-based Best Practice Advisory (BPA). The study will answer whether the EMR-based BPA can effectively reduce disparities. Additionally, it will explore why providers may not prescribe advanced diabetes technologies. Patients will also be surveyed to understand their perspectives on developing the EMR-based BPA. The purpose of this study is to further understand the clinical impact and follow-up steps that may be required based on using whole-body Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) or whole-body ultrasound and blood tests to detect multiple cancers in firefighters. This study involves an investigational test (cancer blood test) that has not been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Whole-body MRI and whole-body ultrasound are approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to be used in the diagnosis of some cancers and is approved for adults and children who present other signs of potential disease. In this study, however, the whole-body MRI and the whole-body ultrasound are considered investigational devices because they are not yet approved for use in healthy adults with no other cancer indications. The goal of this 52 week prospective study is to learn whether a Diabetes Care Management Program using a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) and remotely monitoring (RPM) glucose readings can help improve glucose levels and diabetes related distress in individuals with uncontrolled type 2 diabetes. The CGM and RPM are used as an adjunct to usual care. The main questions it aims to answer are: Does use of CGM \& RPM improve A1c? Does use of CGM \& RPM improve the percent of time spent with glucose levels between 70-180 mg/dl? Does the diabetes care management program improve diabetes related distress? Participants enrolled in the study will be wearing a CGM. Participants will be able to see the glucose readings from the CGM and see how their glucose level responds to food, physical activity, medications and daily life. The diabetes primary care team will be remotely monitoring the participant's glucose data from the CGM. They will reach out to the participant to make adjustments in treatment regimen as needed. Participants will answer a "Problem Areas in Diabetes"questionnaire that asks questions about diabetes related distress. Read Less

This clinical study is being conducted to evaluate how well the Miro3D Wound Matrix helps heal difficult wounds and ulcerations in an outpatient care setting. Miro3D is a biologic wound dressing made from porcine (pig) liver tissue. It is processed to remove all cells, creating a clean scaffold that can support the body's natural healing process. The goal of this study is to see how effective Miro3D is when used alongside standard wound care for helping wounds close and reducing pain and discomfort. The study is designed as a post-market, proof-of-concept trial, meaning the product is already commercially available, and researchers are evaluating how it works in real-world clinical settings. A total of up to 20 adult participants will be enrolled. Participants may have wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, or surgical wound dehiscence. These wounds may be complex in nature, including tunneling or undermining, which often makes them more difficult to treat. Participants will receive standard wound care along with weekly Miro3D applications for the first 4 weeks. If the wound is not fully healed after 4 weeks, Miro3D will then be applied every 2 weeks until healing is achieved or up to 12 weeks total. Throughout the study, participants will return weekly for wound assessments and to complete brief questionnaires about their pain levels and quality of life. The main goals of the study are: 1. To measure how much the wound size shrinks (known as percent area reduction or PAR). 2. To evaluate how much healthy granulation tissue (new tissue) forms in the wound. 3. To compare healing outcomes when Miro3D is used weekly versus every two weeks. 4. To understand how the treatment affects patients' quality of life, including pain, mobility, and emotional wellbeing. Each participant will be closely monitored by the clinical team throughout the 12-week study period. If a wound heals earlier, the participant will finish the study at that time. If the wound does not heal, the participant may return to their regular physician for follow-up care. Read Less

This study is a prospective, randomized controlled trial designed to evaluate the effectiveness of Miro3D Wound Matrix plus Standard of Care (SOC) compared to SOC alone in treating Wagner Grade 1 diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) and wound dehiscence in an outpatient setting. The trial is sponsored by Reprise Biomedical, Inc. and aims to explore whether the addition of Miro3D-a three-dimensional, acellular porcine-derived wound matrix-enhances wound healing outcomes compared to SOC alone. Purpose of the Study: The primary purpose of the study is to determine whether applying Miro3D in combination with SOC leads to improved healing of diabetic foot ulcers compared to SOC alone. Specifically, the study seeks to assess early wound healing progress at four weeks (as measured by percent area reduction and granulation tissue formation) as a predictor of complete healing by twelve weeks. Key Question the Study Seeks to Answer: Does the addition of Miro3D to standard wound care improve the healing rate and overall wound outcomes for patients with Wagner Grade 1 diabetic foot ulcers or dehisced wounds compared to standard care alone? Study Design Overview: Subjects who meet inclusion/exclusion criteria will be randomized into one of two groups: 1. Miro3D + SOC arm - receiving Miro3D weekly for 4 weeks, then biweekly if needed, for up to 12 weeks. 2. SOC alone (control) arm - receiving SOC without Miro3D. If the wound remains unhealed at 12 weeks in the SOC alone arm, participants may "crossover" to receive Miro3D treatment under the same schedule for an additional 12 weeks. Primary Endpoint: 1. Percent Area Reduction (PAR) and granulation tissue formation at 4 weeks, serving as predictors for wound healing at 12 weeks. Secondary Endpoints: 1. Quality of Life (QOL) improvements, including pain, mobility, and emotional well-being, assessed using a validated Wound/Ulcer-QOL tool. 2. Pain levels using a Visual Analog Scale (VAS) at each visit. Population: Approximately 30 adult subjects (15 per arm) with Wagner Grade 1 diabetic foot ulcers or dehisced wounds will be enrolled. Subjects must have adequate blood flow, demonstrate wound size criteria, and commit to offloading and follow-up care. Follow-Up: Subjects will be followed weekly through the 12-week study period. Healed subjects will undergo confirmation visits at 2 and 4 weeks post-closure. Subjects in the crossover arm will be followed for an additional 12 weeks if their wound was unhealed at the primary endpoint. Statistical Considerations: Data will be summarized using descriptive statistics, including wound measurements, infection status, and healing rates. Comparative analysis will be conducted between treatment groups and schedules (weekly vs. biweekly Miro3D application). Adverse events (AEs), serious adverse events (SAEs), and device-related events will also be documented. This study aims to investigate the neurophysiological effects of live music on individuals with early Alzheimer's Disease (AD), dementia, and/or mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and their caregivers. Heart rate (HR), heart rate variability (HRV), and brain activity will be measured as participant-caregiver dyads listen to preferred and improvised music performed by professional musicians. Investigators will leverage various measurement techniques including, but not limited to, electroencephalography (EEG), behavioral, surveys, and physiological monitoring to study the impact of live music on anxiety in AD and inter-dyad synchrony.
