Low blood pressure, also known as hypotension, is very common during major surgery under general anesthesia. Prolonged or severe hypotension can lead to complications such as kidney injury after surgery that slow down patient recovery. Anesthesiologists commonly administer medications called vasopressors to treat low blood pressure during surgery. These medications help raise the blood pressure back up to a safe range. Two vasopressor medications are commonly used for this purpose: norepinephrine and phenylephrine. Each of these medications has slightly different effects on the heart and blood vessels (cardiovascular system). It remains unknown which of these standard medications is better for treating low blood pressure during surgery. The goal of this clinical trial is to determine which of these two medications is better at preventing injury to the kidneys after major noncardiac surgery as well as other complications such as heart problems. Major surgeries are defined as those lasting at least two hours under general anesthesia. This trial will randomize about ten centers in North America to use either norepinephrine or phenylephrine as the primary medication to treat low blood pressure in adults undergoing major noncardiac surgery. Each hospital will prioritize one of the drugs each month, and the assigned drug will rotate each month at each hospital. This project is a single center, prospective randomized controlled trial (N=198) primarily evaluating the efficacy of the Survivorship Sleep Program vs. Enhanced Usual Care on insomnia severity among cancer survivors. The investigators will also examine secondary outcomes associated with cancer-related insomnia including subjective and objective sleep measures (i.e., sleep diaries, actigraphy), emotional distress, fatigue, and use of sleep medications. Notably, most CBT-I trials with cancer survivors who have completed primary treatment with curative intent (i.e., curvivors) but not those in treatment or living with metastatic cancer (i.e., metavivors). To enhance generalizability, this RCT will stratify enrollment by survivorship phase (1:1:1). This project in strengthened by partnerships with community organizations (SurvivorJourneys and Ellie Fund) and use of both quantitative (i.e., surveys, actigraphy) and qualitative methods (i.e., interviews) to inform considerations for future implementation. Collectively, the proposed project will yield multiple deliverables to innovate cancer survivorship care, namely an efficacious, virtually delivered intervention addressing chronic insomnia, one of the most deleterious concerns among the growing population of cancer survivors in the US. Findings will inform a future effectiveness trial and the expansion of the synchronous delivery of CBT-I to survivors across different phases of cancer survivorship. Read Less

As Invisalign has increased in popularity and demand over the past two decades, clinical trials have shed light on the efficacy of Invisalign treatment. there have been changes in the Invisalign protocol such as introduction of SmartForce features in 2008, such as optimized attachments as well as the implementation of SmartTrack aligner material in 2011. Compared to conventional fixed orthodontic appliances, Invisalign cannot be adjusted on a visit-to visit basis. This study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of Gadopiclenol, an FDA-approved contrast agent, for visualizing pituitary lesions on MR images by comparing with the comparator, Gadobutrol, a clinically widely used contrast agent. The study is double-blinded, so neither the participants nor the researchers know which contrast agent is being used during each scan to avoid the bias of results. Read Less

The goal of this controlled randomized clinical study is to learn if a Tao Calligraphy Mindfulness and Energized water Practice works to improve Unipolar Depression. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Does Tao Calligraphy Mindfulness practice and drinking Energized water improve the subjective symptoms of Unipolar Depression in adults? * Does Tao Calligraphy Mindfulness practice and drinking Energized water improve the clinical symptoms and signs of Unipolar Depression in adults? * Will any improvement in the John Ware's SF-36 Quality of Life questionnaire, in the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ) -9 and in the Beckman Anxiety Inventory (BAI) -21 in adults be statistically significant? Investigators will compare the values of these three scales at the beginning of the mindfulness and energized water practices to their values at six weeks of practice and control groups. Participants will: * be randomized into practice and control groups * complete the set of three questionnaires upon entry into the study - (the baseline or zero time point; at the 6-weeks time point, and at the 12-weeks time point * practice the mindfulness techniques with Tao Calligraphy for a minimum of thirty minutes daily and energized water practice for a minimum of five minutes daily.
