Maternal sensitivity and contingent responsiveness to infant behavioral cues is an important contributor to infants' developing capacities to self-regulate. During early infancy, feeding interactions comprise a significant portion of mother-infant dyadic interactions and high-quality feeding interactions provide both nutritive and socioemotional benefits; recent data suggest that, for many dyads, mothers' sensitive responsiveness during feeding interactions is routinely impacted by the omnipresence of portable technology. The objective of the proposed research is to better understand the development and possible impacts of maternal technology use on infant feeding interactions, emotion and intake regulation, and sociobehavioral and growth outcomes. This study will compare standard of care of home exercise for running rehabilitation to the combined treatment of home exercise with an individually provided four-session virtual physical therapy support program intervention on pain and physical function movements (controlled dual and single leg squat and lateral hopping in individuals post running injury. These collective findings will help provide new evidence of the responses to an individually provided virtual PT interventions among runners. Read Less

This phase II trial tests the willingness of patients undergoing nipple sparing mastectomy (NSM) to enroll in a randomized study of NSM with or without neurotization of the nipple areolar complex (NAC). This trial also compares patient reported outcomes, including quality of life and breast and NAC sexual functionality, for patients undergoing NSM with or without neurotization of the NAC. NSM is a standard practice option for patients undergoing preventative mastectomy, but many report dissatisfaction with decreased nipple sensation. Neurotization is a surgical technique using a nerve graft in an attempt to restore NAC sensation. Neurotization during NSM and reconstruction may restore NAC sensation and improve quality of life in breast cancer patients. Read Less

This clinical trial is studying the genetic changes in cells associated with different types of cancer in Indigenous American (IA) populations in the Southwest to improve cancer screening, precision prevention, and therapeutic intervention for individual in these communities. IA tribes have much lower rates of cancer screening, have more limited access to healthcare, are more often diagnosed at later stages of disease, and have the poorest outcomes in all types of cancer when compared to any other racial and ethnic group in the United States. Due to these significant cancer health disparities, IAs have been understudied and little is known about the molecular characterization of tumors arising in IAs. The goal of this clinical trial is to compare the efficacy of a standard intradialytic exercise program (control group) to an individualized, patient-centered, "Move-More" physical activity intervention (intervention group) in hemodialysis (HD) patients. Exercise programs often fail to yield robust benefits for many HD patients, in part because the type and volume of exercise prescribed is inappropriate for a variety of reasons, and the benefits from these studies are often disappointing, as they are characterized by poor adherence, high dropout rates, and modest effects on physical function, body composition, cardiovascular disease risk, and other outcomes related to quality of life (QOL). To address this, the investigators have designed a novel physical activity intervention "Move More" that is designed to overcome many of the barriers to increasing physical activity in this population. This study aims to compare the efficacy of a standard intradialytic exercise program (control group) to an individualized, patient-centered, "Move-More" physical activity intervention (intervention group) in HD patients. The investigators primary hypothesis is that patients randomized to the Move More intervention will increase their physical activity levels more than those in the intradialytic exercise group. The main question it aims to answer is: • Does "Move More" increase the physical activity levels (minutes) measured through weekly minutes of physical activity and the LoPAQ questionnaire more than those in the standard intradialytic exercise program? For secondary outcomes this study aims to answer the following: * Does "Move More" improve the physical function of hemodialysis patients assessed by the short physical performance battery (SPBB) more than those in the standard intradialytic exercise program? * Does "Move More" decrease fatigue assess by the SONG-HD survey more than those in the standard intradialytic exercise program? * Does "Move More" decrease symptoms of depression assessed by PROMIS Depression Short Form 8a more than those in the standard intradialytic exercise program? * Does "Move More" increase the amount of exercise measured through a point system more than those in the standard intradialytic exercise program? * Does "Move More" improve blood pressure (BP) more than those in the standard intradialytic exercise program? Purpose The purpose of this study is to determine whether filtering out blue light at nighttime reduces post-surgical inflammation and/or moderates cognitive decline and mood and sleep alterations in patients undergoing elective CABG, AVR, MVR, CABG AVR, CABG MVR, or SAH surgery. If manipulating nighttime light in hospital rooms improves patient outcomes, then it would be a relatively easy and inexpensive innovation that could reduce post-surgical complications and save millions of dollars per year in health care costs by shortening the length of hospital stays and reducing morbidity. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the United States however, little is known about how diet can affect cancer treatment. Pre-clinical murine studies report intermittent fasting increases effectiveness of chemotherapy and decreases treatment related adverse events. The proposed research will demonstrate that time restricted eating, a form of intermittent fasting, will improve treatment related outcomes, patient related outcomes, and limit treatment related weight gain and fat mass accretion.Time restricted eating combined with a mediterranean diet will also be feasible and improve cardiometabolic risk more than TRE alone or standard care. This phase II study evaluates F-18 tetrafluoroborate (18F-TFB) PET/CT scan in patients with differentiated thyroid cancer. Diagnostic imaging is necessary for planning treatment, monitoring therapy response, and identifying sites of recurrent or metastatic disease in differentiated thyroid cancer. 18F-TFB PET/CT may accurately detect recurrent and metastatic thyroid cancer lesions, with the potential to provide information for patient management that is better than the current standard of care imaging practices. This study aims to address a critical gap in pediatric oncology survivorship care by exploring innovative solutions to addressing obesity and its comorbidities in pediatric cancer survivors. The majority (99%) of pediatric cancer survivors will develop severe chronic health conditions by age 50, with 96% developing at least one severe/disabling, life threating or fatal chronic health condition. Obesity, cardiovascular, and metabolic diseases are the most common treatment-related late effects among pediatric cancer survivors. Improving diet and reducing obesity has the potential to dramatically improve the quality of life and long-term health of pediatric cancer survivors. Utilization of a prebiotic fiber supplement along with TRE amy improve the gut microbiome, short-chain fatty acid synthesis, and hunger hormones to further improve weight loss with TRE and a greater decrease in cardiometabolic risk. The aims of this study are to test the safety, feasibility, and acceptability of 8-h TRE or 8-h TRE with a fiber supplement among young adult (YA) pediatric cancer survivors. The investigators further strive to examine the preliminary efficacy of TRE on body weight, body composition, glucose regulation, and cardiovascular risk markers. Data obtained will be used to inform a larger efficacy trial of TRE among adolescent and young adult pediatric cancer survivors. Given that a majority of pediatric cancer survivors will develop severe chronic health conditions by age 50, with 96% developing at least one severe/disabling, life threating or fatal chronic health condition exploring accessible nutritional strategies to improve long term health trajectory of 70,000+ AYA diagnosed with cancer each year in the United States. This study of TRE will provide important preliminary evidence of the benefits of this nutrition therapy for YA pediatric cancer survivors. The long-term goal of this line of inquiry is to improve both short and long-term outcomes for YA pediatric cancer survivors. Read Less
