Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Paid Clinical Trials in Alabama

The study has 2 parts. The first part is open to adults with different types of advanced cancer (solid tumours with changes in the HER2 gene) for whom previous treatment was not successful. The second part is open to people with non-small cell lung cancer with a specific mutation in the HER2 gene. The purpose of the first study part is to find the highest dose of a medicine called zongertinib the participants can tolerate. Once this dose is found, it will be used in the second study part to test whether zongertinib can make tumours shrink. In this study, zongertinib is given to people for the first time. Participants take zongertinib as tablets once a day or twice a day. The participants are in the study for as long as they benefit from and can tolerate treatment. Study doctors regularly check the participants' health and monitor the tumours. The doctors also take note of any unwanted effects that could have been caused by zongertinib. Read Less

This study, known as LUNAR-2, aims to investigate the effectiveness and safety of using TTFields, delivered by the NovoTTF-200T device, concomitantly administered with pembrolizumab and platinum-based chemotherapy for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. The primary goals of the study are to assess overall survival and progression-free survival. BDTX-1535-101 is an open-label, Phase 1 dose escalation and Phase 2 multiple cohort study designed to evaluate the safety, pharmacokinetics (PK), optimal dosage, central nervous system (CNS) activity, and antitumor activity of BDTX-1535. The study population comprises adults with either advanced/metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with non-classical or acquired epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) resistance (EGFR C797S) mutations with or without CNS disease (in Phase 1 and Phase 2), or glioblastoma (GBM) expressing EGFR alterations (Phase 1 only). GEMINI NSCLC Study is a non-interventional study that will be collecting clinical and molecular health information from patients with NSCLC who will receive longitudinal blood collection in addition to their standard of care therapy and disease surveillance with the goals of identifying the molecular evolution of lung cancer with standard of care therapy, and determining the utility of ctDNA dynamics to predict risk of recurrence and therapeutic outcomes. This study is researching an experimental drug called fianlimab (also called REGN3767) with two other medications called cemiplimab and platinum-doublet chemotherapy, individually called a "study drug" or collectively called "study drugs", when combined in this study. The study is being conducted in patients who have resectable stage II to IIIB (N2) non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that can be treated with surgery. The aim of the study is to see how effective the combination of fianlimab, cemiplimab, and chemotherapy is in comparison with cemiplimab and chemotherapy as peri-operative therapy in participants with NSCLC. The study is looking at several other research questions, including: * What side effects may happen from taking the study drugs * How much of each study drug is in the blood at different times * Whether the body makes antibodies against the study drugs (which could make the drugs less effective or could lead to side effects) * How administering the study drugs might affect quality of life Read Less

This screening and multi-sub-study randomized phase II/III trial will establish a method for genomic screening of similar large cancer populations followed by assigning and accruing simultaneously to a multi-sub-study hybrid Master Protocol (Lung-MAP). The type of cancer trait (biomarker) will determine to which sub-study, within this protocol, a participant will be assigned to compare new targeted cancer therapy, designed to block the growth and spread of cancer, or combinations to standard of care therapy with the ultimate goal of being able to approve new targeted therapies in this setting. This randomized phase III trial studies how well crizotinib works in treating patients with stage IB-IIIA non-small cell lung cancer that has been removed by surgery and has a mutation in a protein called anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK). Mutations, or changes, in ALK can make it very active and important for tumor cell growth and progression. Crizotinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking the ALK protein from working.
