VETERANS ONLY. Chronic low back pain (cLBP) is common. Most Americans will have at least one episode of low back pain in their lifetimes. Approximately 50% of all US Veterans have chronic pain, and CLBP is the most common type of pain in this population. This study will use a sequential randomized, pragmatic, 2-step comparative effectiveness study design. The main goal is to identify the best approach for treating cLBP using commonly recommended non-surgical and non-pharmacological options. The first step compares continued care and active monitoring (CCAM) to internet-based pain self-management (Pain EASE) and an enhanced physical therapy intervention that combines Pain EASE with tailored exercise and physical activity. Patients who do not have a significant decrease in pain interference (a functional outcome) in Step 1 and those desiring additional treatment will be randomized in Step 2 to yoga, spinal manipulation therapy (SMT), or therapist-delivered cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Participants proceeding to randomization in Step 2 will be allowed to exclude up to one of the three Step 2 treatments based on their preferences. The investigators' primary hypothesis for the first treatment step is that an enhanced physical therapy intervention that combines pain self-management education with a tailored exercise program will reduce pain interference greater than internet-based pain self-management alone or CCAM in Veterans with cLBP. The primary outcome is change in pain interference at 3 months, measured using the Brief Pain Inventory (BPI) pain interference subscale. Study participants will be followed for one year after initiation of their final study treatments to assess the durability of treatment effects. This clinical study is a randomized, double-blind, double-dummy, parallel group, multi-center, active and placebo-controlled trial evaluating the analgesic efficacy and safety of NTM-001 in subjects with moderately severe postoperative pain after bunionectomy surgery. This study is designed to compare the efficacy of NTM-001 to placebo. Intravenous (IV) morphine serves as an active comparator to determine assay sensitivity and support assessment of opioid-level analgesia for NTM-001. The goal of this clinical trial is to test using a pain and anxiety reduction phone application in older adults with knee osteoarthritis and chronic pain. The main questions it seeks to answer are: How acceptable is using a phone app in older adults with knee osteoarthritis and chronic pain to lower pain, pain stress and reduce fear of movement? What are the effects of combining biofeedback with a virtual reality nature scene and paced breath training to increase heart rate variability on pain and anxiety among older adults with knee osteoarthritis? What is the role of self-regulation and body awareness in predicting or strengthening the effect of combining virtual reality, heart rate variability biofeedback in older adults with knee osteoarthritis?. Participants will be asked to: use a phone application for 7-10 minute sessions twice daily 5 days a week for 8 weeks. receive relaxation reminders weeks 9 through 12 to see if use continues past the intervention phase. complete surveys describing pain, physical activity, fear of movement, body awareness and self-regulation, pain stress pre/post the app use. complete a survey and interview after 8 weeks of phone app use to describe the experience of its use. This is a 2-part, randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind, Phase 2 study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, efficacy, and PK of RTA 901 in qualified subjects with DPNP. Each study part will be randomized into 3 treatment arms; 2 different doses of RTA 901 and a Placebo. The doses of RTA 901 in Part 2 will be selected based on the Exposure-Response (E-R) analyses of data from Part 1. A total of 384 subjects will be randomized in this study. Each part will have 192 subjects, with 64 subjects randomized 1:1:1 to each treatment arm. The duration of each part of the study will be approximately 20 weeks, including a Screening Period of up to 2 weeks, a Run-in Period of 2 weeks, a Treatment Period of 12 weeks, and a Follow-up Period of 4 weeks. The goal of this observational trial is to compare the health history and motion capabilities of participants with low back pain disorders to participants with healthy spines. The main question[s] it aims to answer are to: Primary outcomes of this research effort include the development of composite measures or digital biomarkers to track functional recovery over time and predict duty or work status outcomes (return-to-full duty/work, limited duty/work restrictions or medical discharge/long-term disability). Secondary outcomes of this research effort include characterization of motion assessment utility to predict reinjury risk and evaluate intervention effectiveness. In addition, exploratively, the investigators will determine biopsychosocial profiles of low back pain, and neck pain military populations to identify low back and neck pain phenotypes. Participants will complete questionnaires and wear a motion monitor that will assess the participant's back and/or neck. This session will be approximately 40-70 minutes. The research team will follow up with participants at 3 month, 6 months, and 1 year to complete a short series of questionnaires and a motion assessment test. Read Less
