Evaluation of Technological Innovation in Radiotherapy
Recruiting
Prospective cohort study of patients receiving standard-care radiotherapy is paramount to a better understanding of radiation effects and longterm outcomes.
The primary objective is to determine the feasibility of establishing infrastructure to systematically collect clinical data, patient-reported outcomes, and imaging data from daily radiotherapy practice.
Secondary objectives are to provide a control cohort for comparative effectiveness research of investigational interventions through a cm... Read More

A Study of TAK-330 to Reverse the Effects of Factor Xa Inhibitors For Adults Needing Urgent Surgery
Recruiting
The aim of this study is to find out the effects of TAK-330 compared with four-factor prothrombin complex concentrate (4F-PCC) as part of standard treatment other than Prothromplex Total for anticoagulation reversal in participants treated with Factor Xa inhibitors who require urgent surgery/invasive procedure.
The participant will be assigned by chance to either TAK-330 or SOC 4F-PCC as part of standard treatment before surgery.
Patients participating in this study will need to be hospitalize... Read More

The Family-ICU Trial
Recruiting
Family inclusion in adult intensive care unit (ICU) rounds is recommended by critical care professional societies, yet widespread uptake of this practice is limited. A key barrier cited by ICU clinicians is insufficient evidence to support this practice. There is a need for robust evidence to support family participation in adult ICU rounds and influence change to routine clinical care. The primary purpose of this study is to assess whether family participation in adult ICU rounds improves famil... Read More

STABILITY 2: Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction +/- Lateral Tenodesis With Patellar vs Quad Tendon
Recruiting
Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture is one of the most common musculoskeletal injuries in young individuals, particularly those that are active in sports. Up to 30% of individuals under the age of 20 years suffer a re-injury to the reconstructed ACL. Revision ACLR has been associated with degeneration of the articular cartilage and increased rates of meniscal tears, increasing the risk of post-traumatic osteoarthritis (PTOA), additional surgical procedures, reduced physical function and qua... Short-term Intravenous Fluids for Prevention of Post-ERCP Pancreatitis
Recruiting
This study will explore the efficacies of several practical short-term (peri-procedural) intravenous fluid regimens in the prevention of post- endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) pancreatitis (PEP). PEP is the most common serious ERCP-related adverse event (AE), occurring in 5-15% of patients, and associated with significant morbidity, mortality, and healthcare utilization. Given the current lack of data on effectiveness of short-term fluid regimens in PEP prevention to inform... Read More

Predictors of Relapse in Major Depressive Disorder
Recruiting
Major depressive disorder (MDD) is a common condition involving recurring periods of depression. One of the major challenges faced by people with MDD is that the episodes of depression tend to recur even after they are successfully treated. Currently, it is hard to predict when a depressive episode will recur. Being able to forecast this would help healthcare providers monitor patients and prevent relapse.
The purpose of this study is to monitor features such as clinical symptoms, physical acti... Read More
