Feasibility of Use of Indocyanine Green in Pediatric Colorectal Surgery
Recruiting
Hirschsprung's Disease (HD) and anorectal malformations (ARM) are both paediatric diseases of the colon and rectum. Both of these conditions require surgery in order to correct them, frequently needing sections of the bowel to be removed. Some complications of removing parts of the bowel include forming a stricture (a narrowing of the place where the bowel is reattached), and leak from the join. These can be devastating complications, and can significantly impact a patient's quality of life. Ind... Read More

Exercise to Improve Sleep in Parkinson's Disease
Recruiting
This study will investigate the impact of three common exercise modalities, cardiovascular, resistance, and multimodal (i.e., a combination of the previous two) training, on sleep quality and architecture in persons with Parkinson's disease (PD). Furthermore, the project will investigate whether the potential positive exercise-induced changes in sleep are associated with improvements in different quality of life (QoL)-related aspects. Participants will perform either cardiovascular training (CT)... Read More

The CanDo (Canadian Donor Milk) Trial
Recruiting
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about the impact of donor milk vs formula supplementation on human milk feeding and the health outcomes of infants who require supplementation in well-baby units. It aims to explore whether supplementation with donor milk vs formula for infants during the initial hospital stay in a well-baby unit will increase both the exclusivity and duration of breastfeeding at 4 months. The Investigators will also explore whether the type of supplementation will pos... Read More

Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma (HNSCC)PET-CT Pilot Study
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to see how useful the information provided from Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scans can be in the actual planning and delivery of radiation treatment to patients who have head and neck cancers. Patients participating in this study, will have (in addition to their routine tests) a PET scan before and during their radiation treatment. Following the intervention, patients will be followed as per standard practice.

A Prospective Study on the Long-Term Vascular Burden in Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura Patients
Recruiting
A prospective cohort study of thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura and atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome patients who have presented with their acute episode and are in remission within the last 30 days. They will be followed for 12 months from the time of their initial scan, followed by a long-term follow up study.

PET/MR in Post Stroke Cardiac Inflammation Study
Recruiting
Patients with stroke have a 25x higher risk of cardiovascular complications within the first 30 days of the event compared to individuals without stroke. The mechanisms behind these complications are not well understood. Evidence suggests that inflammation plays a central role. With the present proof-of-concept prospective cohort study, the investigators aim to demonstrate that patients develop cardiac inflammation after stroke by performing positron emission tomography (PET) magnetic resonance... RCT: Effect of Late vs Early Introduction of Gluten-free Oats on Patients With Newly Diagnosed Celiac Disease.
Recruiting
The investigators are conducting a pilot study to investigate the impact of late compared to early introduction of gluten-free oats on gut symptoms, nutrition status, celiac activity and quality of life in patients with a recent diagnosis of celiac disease. Pilot study means that it will recruit a low number of participants to see if it is possible to perform the study, and to estimate how many participants will be needed for the large study. The study will collect information through questionna... Read More
