Single vs. Multiple Fraction Trial of Stereotactic Ablative Radiotherapy for Comprehensive Treatment of Oligometastases/Progression
Recruiting
Stereotactic Ablative Radiotherapy (SABR) is a modern RT technique that delivers high doses of radiation to small tumor targets using highly conformal techniques, while trying to avoid healthy tissues and organs. However, SABR treatment requires increased planning, treatment time, cost and potential for higher toxicity due to the higher dose. The purpose of this study is to compare single fraction (SF) SABR vs. multiple fraction (MF) SABR in regards to toxicities, progression-free survival, qual... Read More

IM Screw vs. K-wire Fixation of Proximal/Middle Phalanx Fractures
Recruiting
When people break their fingers, sometimes surgery is needed to align the bones to heal them properly. There are different ways to fix broken bones in hands, such as plates, pins, or screws. Each method has pros and cons; fixing a broken bone with plates is usually a larger surgery with more cutting but holds the bones very securely. Pins require little to no cutting but the patient needs to immobilize their hand for a few weeks afterwards. Screws are a newer method of fixing broken fingers that... Read More

Spotting and Managing Adult Repeated Traumas in the Brain
Recruiting
Emerging evidence suggests that concussions (a type of mild traumatic brain injury; mTBIs) may cause chronic neurological disturbances with effects lasting beyond 20 years, changing brain structure and nearly doubling the risks of developing dementia into old age. Yet diagnoses remain notoriously difficult, gender differences are poorly understood, and negligible therapies exist to manage and treat these long-term effects. This project proposes using a combination of NeuroTracker (a promising s... Read More
