There are currently 4 active clinical trials seeking participants for Labor Pain research studies. The states with the highest number of trials for Labor Pain participants are Ontario, Illinois, California and Jiangsu.
Epidural Fentanyl for 2nd Stage Labor Analgesia
Recruiting
This study is being done to investigate if there is more effective pain relief during the latter stages of labor and delivery when epidural fentanyl 100mcg is administered compared to epidural fentanyl 20mcg.

The Stimulation To Induce Mothers Study
Recruiting
The investigators propose a parallel group randomized clinical trial of intrapartum nipple stimulation versus exogenous oxytocin infusion for nulliparous women undergoing induction of labor near term. The central hypothesis is that intrapartum nipple stimulation to induce labor increases spontaneous vaginal delivery, improves patient-centered outcomes such as childbirth satisfaction, labor agentry, and pain scores, and reduces adverse neonatal and maternal outcomes in nulliparous women. The inve... Read More

Evaluation of Objective Pain Measurement Device
Recruiting
This study will attempt to objectively measure pain with an experimental device. The investigators will apply the device to measure patients "pain" due to uterine contractions during routine clinical care to correlate patients verbal pain ratings and analgesia requirements to that measured by the device. A brain oxygenation device, Edwards Foresight, will be used to concurrently to monitor brain oxygenation and hemodynamics, so the relationship between the CereVu ROPA device objective measure of...
