The investigators propose to evaluate the use of a telemedicine tool, the TELE-ASD-PEDS (TAP), that is designed to assess for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) symptoms in toddlers. The TAP was developed at VUMC by a team of clinical psychologists with expertise in the early identification of ASD. The TAP has been studied in controlled laboratory settings, with high levels of family and clinician satisfaction, as well as excellent agreement with blinded comprehensive ASD evaluation. The TAP has also been used to complete direct-to-home telemedicine assessments during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the investigators have not yet compared direct-to-home assessments using the TAP with gold standard, in-person ASD assessments. It has also not yet been studied in a diverse sample of families or with providers outside of VUMC. This study will allow the investigators to address those gaps. Read Less

EYE-TIE-201 is a 2-part study to investigate the safety and effectiveness of a new drug being developed called EYE201. All participants in the study will receive a total of 3 injections of EYE201 into the study eye, spaced at 4 weeks apart. In the first part, termed the multiple ascending dose (MAD) portion of study, the safety of EYE201 will be assessed at increasing doses in branch retinal vein occlusion (BRVO) participants. Approximately 12 participants will be entered in this part of the study. In the second part of the study, called the dose finding part, 2 doses of EYE201 will be selected and their effectiveness will be compared. This portion of the study assesses the safety and preliminary efficacy of EYE201 in patients with diabetic macular edema (DME) or neovascular macular degeneration (NVAMD). This trial studies how well iohexol works in helping doctors calculate the dose of carboplatin given to patients with cancer. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Understanding how to best calculate the dose of carboplatin given to patients with cancer may help doctors learn how to improve the use of carboplatin in the future. Read Less

This clinical trial evaluates how well two surgical procedures (bilateral salpingectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy) work in reducing the risk of ovarian cancer for individuals with BRCA1 mutations. Bilateral salpingectomy involves the surgical removal of fallopian tubes, and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy involves the surgical removal of both the fallopian tubes and ovaries. This study may help doctors determine if the two surgical procedures are nearly the same for ovarian cancer risk reduction for women with BRCA1 mutations. Read Less

The purpose of this trial is to test whether treatment with tralokinumab (administered subcutaneous injections \[SC\]) in combination with topical corticosteroids (TCS) is safe and effective to treat moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD) in children and infants. This will be judged by a range of assessments that rate the severity and extent of atopic dermatitis and its symptoms, as well as general health status and quality of life. The trial will last for up to 4 years. There will be visits every 2 weeks for the first year and every 6 weeks thereafter. Some of the visits will be conducted by phone. The study involves two different age groups: children aged 2 to under 12 years and infants aged 6 months to under 2 years. This trial compares tralokinumab +TCS to placebo + TCS for children with moderate-to-severe AD and evaluates tralokinumab + TCS for infants with moderate-to-severe AD. Infants will not receive placebo. All subjects will go through a screening process, which is the first part of the trial and will last up to 4 weeks. During this period, it will be checked if the child or infant meets the criteria to participate in the trial. The children will be randomly assigned to receive tralokinumab + TCS or placebo + TCS for the initial 16 weeks, with the treatment being double-blinded. During the first 16 weeks, children will have a 2 out of 3 chance of getting tralokinumab and a 1 out of 3 chance of getting placebo. Thereafter, all subjects will receive tralokinumab + TCS. The infants will receive tralokinumab + TCS as open-label treatment for the entire treatment period, meaning that the participants will know they are receiving tralokinumab. This phase II trial tests how well tailoring therapy in post-surgery works in patients with low-risk endometrial cancer. The usual approach for patients with low-risk endometrial cancer is treatment with surgery. In this study, tissue that is removed as part of the surgical procedure is analyzed in the pathology laboratory to help guide the doctor to decide whether or not additional treatment such as radiation and or chemotherapy should be recommended. This phase III trial compares the effect of olaparib for one year versus two years, with or without bevacizumab, for the treatment of BRCA 1/2 mutated or homologous recombination deficient stage III or IV ovarian cancer. Olaparib is a polyadenosine 5'-diphosphoribose polymerase (PARP) enzyme inhibitor and may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Bevacizumab is in a class of medications called antiangiogenic agents. It works by stopping the formation of blood vessels that bring oxygen and nutrients to tumor. This may slow the growth and spread of tumor. Giving olaparib for one year with or without bevacizumab may be effective in treating patients with BRCA 1/2 mutated or homologous recombination deficient stage III or IV ovarian cancer, when compared to two years of olaparib.
