The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of efavaleukin alfa on induction of clinical remission in participants with moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis (UC). Participants will be randomized to receive 1 of 3 efavaleukin alfa doses or placebo during a 12-week induction period. Participants who complete the 12-week induction period will have the option to enter an exploratory long-term treatment period for up to 40 weeks (total of up to 52 weeks of treatment) if, in the opinion of the investigator, they may benefit from continued treatment. During the long-term period, participants randomized to efavaleukin alfa will remain on the same efavaleukin alfa blinded dose; participants randomized to placebo who achieved clinical response at week 12 will remain on placebo; and placebo non-responders (ie, participants randomized to placebo who did not achieve clinical response at week 12) will receive efavaleukin alfa in a blinded manner during continued treatment. This study is open to adults with moderate to severe hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called spesolimab helps people with HS. People who have previously taken specific medicines such as immunosuppressive biologics other than Tumor necrosis factor (TNF) inhibitors cannot take part. This study has 2 parts. In Part 1, participants are divided into 4 groups of almost equal size. 3 groups get different doses of spesolimab, 1 group gets placebo. All participants get injections into a vein or under the skin. Placebo injections look like spesolimab injections, but do not contain any medicine. Every participant has an equal chance of being in each group. In the beginning, participants get the study medicine every week and later every 2 weeks. After 4 months, participants in the placebo group switch to spesolimab treatment. In Part 2, participants are divided into 2 groups. One group gets a suitable dose of spesolimab that was found in Part 1 of the study. The other group gets placebo. After 4 months, participants in the placebo group switch to spesolimab treatment. Participants join only one of the two parts. They are in the study for about 1 year. During this time, they visit the study site in the beginning every week and later every 2 weeks. Some of the visits can be done at the participant's home instead of the study site. The doctors regularly check participants' HS symptoms. The results are compared between the groups to see whether spesolimab works. The doctors also regularly check participants' general health and take note of any unwanted effects. Read Less

Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic and often painful inflammatory skin disease which includes the forming of lumps, abscesses and scars in areas of the skin such as under the breasts, under armpits, inner thighs, groin and buttocks. Despite the clinical benefit anti-tumor necrosis factor (TNF) therapy offers to patients with HS, there remains a significant unmet medical need for patients who fail to achieve adequate benefit with anti-TNF therapy. This study will compare lutikizumab (ABT-981) versus placebo for the treatment of adult participants with moderate to severe HS who have failed anti-TNF therapy. Lutikizumab (ABT-981) is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of HS. In the Main Study, participants will be put in 1 of 4 groups, called treatment arms. There is a 1 in 4 chance that participants will be assigned to placebo. Around 160 adult participants with moderate to severe HS who have failed anti-TNF therapy will be enrolled in the study at approximately 50 sites worldwide. In the Sub-study, participants will be put in 1 of 2 groups, called treatment arms. Both arms will receive treatment at different dosing intervals. Around 40 adult participants with moderate to severe HS who are naïve to biologic therapy will be enrolled in the study at certain sites. In the Main Study, participants will receive subcutaneous injections of lutikizumab (ABT-981) or placebo every week for 16 weeks. In the Sub-study, participants will receive subcutaneous injections of lutikizumab (ABT-981) every week for the first 15 weeks, then either every week or every other week for 36 weeks. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic. Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory disease causing pain, stiffness, swelling and loss of joint function. This study will assess how safe and effective upadacitinib is in treating RA when compared to adalimumab in adult participants with inadequate response or intolerance to one TNF-inhibitor who are on a stable dose of methotrexate (MTX). Adverse events and change in disease activity will be assessed. Upadacitinib is an approved drug for the treatment of RA. This study is double-blinded means that neither the participants nor the study doctors will know who will be given upadacitinib and who will be given adalimumab. Study doctors put the participants in 1 of the 2 groups, called treatment arms randomly, to receive either upadacitinib or adalimumab. There is 1 in 2 chance that participants will receive adalimumab. Each group consists of 2 periods. Approximately 480 participants diagnosed with RA will be enrolled in approximately 250 sites across the world. Participants will receive the oral upadacitinib once daily and matching adalimumab placebo every other week, or the subcutaneous adalimumab every other week and matching upadacitinib placebo once daily during Period 1. Eligible participants will continue to receive same study treatment in Period 2 as assigned in Period 1 and will be followed for 30 days and 70 days. Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is an immune-mediated disease associated with inflammation of multiple organ systems. This study will assess how safe and effective upadacitinib is in treating adult participants with moderately to severely active SLE. Adverse events and change in the disease activity will be assessed. Upadacitinib is an approved drug for rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and axial spondylarthritis and is being developed for the treatment of SLE. This study is "double-blinded", which means that neither the trial participants nor the study doctors will know who will be given upadacitinib and who will be given placebo (does not contain treatment drug) . This study comprised of 3 sub studies. In Study 1 and Study 2, study doctors put the participants in 1 of the 2 groups, called treatment arms. Each group receives a different treatment. There is a 1 in 2 chance that participants will be assigned to placebo. Eligible participants from Study 1 and Study 2 will enter Study 3 at week 52 to receive specific doses of upadacitinib based on their disease activity and their original treatment assignment in Study 1 or 2. Approximately 500 participants diagnosed with SLE will be enrolled in each of the Study 1 and Study 2 in approximately 320 sites across the world. Participants will receive oral tablets of upadacitinib or matching placebo once daily for 52 weeks in Study 1 and Study 2. Brief Summary of Stage 1: The purpose Stage 1 (Phase I/IIa) is to assess the safety and immunogenicity of a single intramuscular (IM) injection of 3 dose-levels of an Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) vaccine candidate formulated with 2 different lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) in healthy adult participants aged between 18 to 50 years, and 60 years and older. The primary objectives of this stage are to assess the safety and immunogenicity profiles across the dose-level groups (low, medium, and high doses) with 2 LNPs. This stage will evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of a booster vaccination administered 12 months after the primary vaccination in a subset of the study population. Brief Summary of Stage 2: The study also also incorporates a Stage 2 (Phase IIa, dose-ranging design) that includes adults aged 60 years and older to assess the safety and immunogenicity of different doses of RSV vaccine encapsulated in one of the LNPs. In the Phase IIa dose-ranging stage, eligible participants will be randomly assigned in a 1:1:1 ratio to receive a single IM administration of RSV vaccine candidate doses, or placebo.
