Diabetes Paid Clinical Trials in California

This study compares 2 medicines for type 2 diabetes: semaglutide (new medicine) and a dummy medicine (placebo). Semaglutide will be tested to see how well it works compared to the dummy medicine. The study will also test if semaglutide is safe in children and teenagers. Participants will either get semaglutide or the dummy medicine - which one is decided by chance. Participants will take 1 tablet of the study medicine every morning on an empty stomach. They have to wait 30 minutes before they eat, drink or take any other medication by mouth. The study will last for about 1 year and 3 months (66 weeks). Participants will have 12 clinic visits and 8 phone calls with the study doctor. This study compares semaglutide, together with a lower dose of insulin glargine, to a higher dose of insulin glargine in participants with type 2 diabetes. The study looks at how well the study medicines control blood glucose levels. Participants will either get semaglutide together with a lower dose of insulin glargine or a higher dose of insulin glargine. The study will last for about 47 weeks (approximately 11 months). Participants will have 9 clinic visits, 15 phone/video calls and 1 home visit. This study will look if CagriSema can lower kidney damage in people with chronic kidney disease (CKD), type 2 diabetes (T2D) and overweight or obesity. CagriSema is a new investigational medicine. CagriSema cannot yet be prescribed by doctors. The study will compare CagriSema to the 2 medicines semaglutide and cagrilintide, when they are taken alone. It will also compare CagriSema to a "dummy" medicine (also called placebo) without any active ingredient. Participant will either get CagriSema 2.4 mg, semaglutide 2.4 mg, cagrilintide 2.4 mg or placebo. Which treatment participant will get is decided by chance (like flipping a coin). The Revita® system is being investigated to assess the efficacy of DMR versus Sham on improvement in Glycemic, Hepatic and Cardiovascular endpoints for patients with Type 2 Diabetes who are inadequately controlled with insulin therapy. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the efficacy and safety of the Fractyl DMR Procedure using the Revita® System compared to a sham. Subjects randomized to the DMR procedure will be followed per protocol till 48 weeks post treatment. The study will look at how well CagriSema helps people lower their blood sugar and body weight. CagriSema is a new weekly medicine that combines two medicines called semaglutide and cagrilintide. CagriSema will be compared to the two medicines semaglutide and cagrilintide, when they are taken alone. CagriSema will also be compared to a "dummy" medicine without any active ingredient. This study compares insulin icodec, a new insulin taken once a week, to insulin glargine, an insulin taken once a day. The study medicine will be investigated in participants with type 2 diabetes. Participants will either get insulin icodec or insulin glargine. Which treatment participants get is decided by chance. Insulin icodec is the new medicine being tested, while insulin glargine is already approved and can be prescribed by doctors. Participants will get one injection of insulin icodec once a week, or one injection of insulin glargine once a day, depending on the treatment group participants are assigned into. Participants will use a pen with a small needle to inject the medicine under participants skin into participants thigh, upper arm or stomach.The study will last for about 9 months, but participants will only be taking the study medicine for 6 months. This is a multi-center, prospective, non-interventional study that focuses on the long- term effects following participation in selected ITN new-onset Type1 Diabetes Mellitus studies with immunomodulatory agents (T1DM, T1D). This observational study will: follow participants to determine how long they continue to produce insulin, and will also assess how changes in the immune system over time relate to the ability to produce insulin.
