MANATEE-T1D: Metformin and AutomaTEd Insulin Delivery System Effects on Renal Vascular Resistance, Insulin Sensitivity, and Cardiometabolic Function in Youth with Type 1 Diabetes
Recruiting
Diabetic kidney disease and cardiovascular disease remain the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in people with type 1 diabetes and are exacerbated with longer duration of diabetes and time outside goal glycemic range. Yet, type 1 diabetes is a complex disease with pathophysiology that extends beyond beta-cell injury and insulin deficiency to include insulin resistance and renal vascular resistance, factors that accelerate cardiovascular disease risk. We have shown that metformin improved... Read More

A Research Study Comparing How Well Different Doses of the Medicine NN0519-0130 Lower Blood Sugar in People With Type 2 Diabetes
Recruiting
This study will look at how well a new medicine called NNC0519-0130 helps people with type 2 diabetes lower their blood sugar and body weight. The study will test up to 7 different doses of NNC0519-0130. Which treatment participant will get is decided by chance. Participants will take 1-3 injections once a week. The study medicine will be injected under skin with a thin needle in the stomach, thigh, or upper arm. The study will last for about 40 weeks.

TArgeting Type 1 Diabetes Using POLyamines (TADPOL)
Recruiting
The goal of this clinical trial is to test a drug known as DFMO in people with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). The main question\[s\] it aims to answer are: * Does it reduce stress on the cells that make insulin? * Does it preserve what is left of the body's insulin production? Participants will take either DFMO or a placebo (looks like DFMO but has no active ingredients) two times a day for about 6 months. Participants will have 6 in person visits and 1 phone visit over a period of 12 months. Visits wi... Read More

Project Dulce for Arab Americans With Type 2 Diabetes
Recruiting
Arab Americans (AA) face many challenges in diabetes self-management due to the limited educational resources and support available for them. The cultural and linguistic barriers between patients and health care providers lead to poor diabetes management and outcomes. This study (Project Dulce Arabic) is adapted from the Project Dulce, an American Diabetes Association (ADA)-recognized Diabetes Self-Management Education Support (DSMES) program. Project Dulce Arabic comprises both peer-led diabete... Read More

Recruiting
The purpose of this research is to evaluate the effect of a wearable insulin pump on blood sugar levels during sleep. The study device works with continuous glucose monitors (CGM) to calculate and deliver rapid-acting insulin doses during sleep. The study device does not replace long-acting, correction, or mealtime insulin. The study will involve applying the study device before bed for a period of 13 weeks. The overall study length is approximately 17 weeks. The study aims to evaluate whether... Read More
