The overarching goal of this work is to address the limited access to evidence-based health behavior and lifestyle interventions for youth and families most impacted by preventable chronic diseases, including obesity and type 2 diabetes. In the current project, we implement a small single-arm pilot and feasibility trial of Health Without Barriers/Salud Sin Barreras (HWB/SSB), a culturally-adapted, whole-family intensive health behavior and lifestyle intervention to 11-19-year-old adolescents and their families living in Northern Colorado. Objectives are refining the HWB/SSB community facilitator training, evaluating the feasibility and acceptability of HWB/SSB implementation, and characterizing changes in health outcomes among adolescent participants. This phase II/III trial compares the effect of adding durvalumab to chemotherapy versus chemotherapy alone before surgery in treating patients with upper urinary tract cancer. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as durvalumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Chemotherapy drugs, such as methotrexate, vinblastine, doxorubicin, cisplatin, and gemcitabine work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Durvalumab in combination with chemotherapy before surgery may enhance the shrinking of the tumor compared to chemotherapy alone. Read Less

The main purpose of this study is to measure how well imlunestrant works compared to standard hormone therapy in participants with early breast cancer that is estrogen receptor positive (ER+) and human epidermal receptor 2 negative (HER2-). Participants must have already taken endocrine therapy for two to five years and must have a higher-than-average risk for their cancer to return. Study participation could last up to 10 years. The purpose of this study is to learn about the study medicine called elranatamab.This study aims to compare elranatamab to other medicines for the treatment of MM (a type of cancer). This study is seeking participants who: * Are 18 years of age or older and have MM. * Have received treatments before for MM. * Have MM that has returned or not responded to their most recent treatment. Half of the participants will receive elranatamab. The other half of participants will receive a combination therapy selected by the study doctor. The selected combination therapy will include 2 to 3 different medicines commonly used to treat MM. Elranatamab will be given as a shot under the skin at the study clinic about once a week. This may change to a smaller number of shots later in the study. The medicines in the combination therapy will be taken by mouth (at home or at the study clinic) AND will be given either as: * a shot under the skin at the study clinic * through a needle in the vein at the study clinic The number of times these medicines will be taken depends on what combination therapy the study doctor selects. Participants may continue to receive elranatamab or a combination therapy until their MM is no longer responding. The study team will see how each participant is doing with the study treatment during regular visits at the study clinic. The study team will continue to follow-up with participants after study treatment with telephone contacts (or visits). The study will compare the experiences of people receiving elranatamab to those people receiving a combination therapy. This will help learn about the safety and how effective elranatamab is. The goal of this observational study is to examine whether exercising in a biophilic environment - a space designed to include natural elements like real plants, simulated sunlight, nature sounds, and outdoor views - can improve exercise performance and enjoyment compared to a standard indoor gym environment in male college students age 18-25 who have regularly exercised prior. The main question it aims to answer is: "Can biophilic design enhance the physical and mental benefits of indoor exercise?" Researchers will compare the two environments to see if there is any changes in exercise performance and enjoyment for each participant. Participants will complete a treadmill fitness test in both settings to compare physical outcomes like maximal aerobic capacity, so the maximal amount of oxygen one can use during exercise, as well as perceived effort. After each treadmill test participants will be given surveys where they will be asked to evaluate their mood and enjoyment in that environment. Read Less

The gut microbiome refers to the trillions of bacteria that inhabit the stomach and other regions involved in the digestion of food, including the intestines. Compelling studies of animals (rodents) suggest that the health of the gut microbiome may influence skeletal muscle function and exercise performance. To date, there have been no similar observations reported in humans. A common experimental approach in animal studies to temporarily disrupt the gut microbiome is through the use of antibiotic therapies. Azithromycin is an antibiotic medicine prescribed to humans for the treatment of mild to moderate infections caused by bacteria. The purpose of the proposed project is to determine the influence of short-term (5-days) antibiotic therapy (azithromycin) on exercise performance in young, healthy adults. Treadmill exercise performance will be compared in two groups of adults before and after 5-days ingestion of azithromycin, or a placebo (something that has no physical effect). Read Less
