Safety and Efficacy of the Sentinel Cerebral Protection Device in Atrial Fibrillation Ablation
Recruiting
The purpose of the study is to see if the Sentinel® Cerebral Protection System may prevent occurrence of stroke during an ablation procedure for atrial fibrillation (AF). The secondary purpose of this study is to study if cognitive function after AF ablation differs between those treated with the Sentinel cerebral protection device and those who do not receive the device.

RESOLVE-AF: Clinical Evaluation of the Ablacath™ Mapping Catheter and Ablamap® System Utilizing Electrographic Flow (EGF) Mapping to Resolve Extra-PV Sources of Atrial Fibrillation and Guide Ablation Therapy.
Recruiting
Demonstrate the safety and effectiveness of the Ablacath™ Mapping Catheter and Ablamap® System in patients with all types of atrial fibrillation (AF) including paroxysmal or persistent or long-standing persistent, undergoing and De Novo or Redo procedures.
Phenotype patients and demonstrate the prognostication power of Electrographic Flow (EGF®) maps among all subjects using 12-month follow-up outcomes following EGF-guided mapping and ablation.

Clinical Validation and Safety of the AC 12L ECG System Against a Standard of Care 12-Lead ECG (AC 12L ECG)
Recruiting
AliveCor (www.alivecor.com) has developed an ECG device (KardiaMobile) that interfaces with iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. This ECG consists of a lightweight hardware case with two metal electrodes that can snap onto the back of the phone and a software application. By holding the right finger(s) on the right electrode and the left finger(s) on the left electrode, an electrical circuit is completed and a lead-I, 30 second rhythm strip is created. KardiaMobile and a newer device, Kardia... Read More

Prospective Observational Study of the ICD in Sudden Cardiac Death Prevention
Recruiting
The overall hypothesis of this study is that subtle interactions between structural (substrate) and functional (trigger) abnormalities of the heart, some of which are genetically-determined, can be used to identify patients at high risk of sudden cardiac death (SCD). Such information may be used to better define patients most likely to benefit from replacement of an internal defibrillator (ICD). The prospective, observational study to enroll, categorize and follow patients who receive an ICD pul... Read More

Genetics of Cardiovascular and Neuromuscular Disease
Recruiting
We are studying the genetics of human cardiovascular and neuromuscular disease. There are many different genetic regions that have been associated with the development of cardiomyopathy. An equal number of genetic regions have been associated with muscular dystrophy and there is overlap because some of the identical genes, when mutated, produce both cardiomyopathy and muscular dystrophy. We are working to identify genes and gene mutations associated with cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias and muscular... Read More
