Evaluating Length of Treatment With PD-1/PD-L1 Inhibitor in Advanced Solid Tumors
Recruiting
Based on the overwhelming positive response to this survey and the large number of patients being treated with PD-1/PD-L1 therapy in the UPMC system, the investigators are proposing a trial that will randomize patients who have disease stability to stop treatment at 1 year or continue treatment until disease progression. The investigators anticipate that the results of this study will answer questions regarding the optimal duration of treatment. therapy.

Comparison of In-Home Versus In-Clinic Administration of Subcutaneous Nivolumab Through Cancer CARE (Connected Access and Remote Expertise) Beyond Walls (CCBW) Program
Recruiting
This phase II trial compares the impact of subcutaneous (SC) nivolumab given in an in-home setting to an in-clinic setting on cancer care and quality of life. Currently, most drug-related cancer care is conducted in clinic type centers or hospitals which may isolate patients from family, friends and familiar surroundings for many hours per day. This separation adds to the physical, emotional, social, and financial burden for patients and their families. Traveling to and from medical facilities c... Read More

Lipiodol Deposition Using Endhole vs. Pressure-Modulated Delivery
Recruiting
The goal of this clinical trial is to compare CT scan of the coverage of tumors treated with TACE using End Hole catheters to those treated with the TriNav catheter that alters tissue pressure. Both catheters are FDA approved for delivery of TACE.
• Is there a difference in CT appearance with delivery in the type of catheter used during the TACE procedure?
Participants will be asked to undergo a TACE procedure, a CT scan and review of their medical record to compare End Hole and TriNav cathete... Read More

Atezolizumab and Bevacizumab in Combination With TACE for Patients With BCLC B HCC
Recruiting
There is an unmet need for patients with intermediate stage hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). It is known that local tumor ablation can increase tumor immunogenicity by releasing tumor associated antigens, potentially increasing the response to immune therapy not just locally, but systemically. In addition, there is now positive data with immune therapy in advanced HCC, there is renewed interest in the combination of local therapy and systemic therapy in Barcelona Clinic Liver Clinic B (BCLC B) pa... Sulfur Colloid SPECT/CT in Measuring Liver Function in Patients With Primary or Metastatic Liver Cancer Undergoing Radiation Therapy or Surgery
Recruiting
This pilot trial studies how well single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT)/computed tomography (CT) with technetium Tc-99m sulfur colloid works in measuring liver function in patients with liver cancer that has or has not spread to other place in the body who are undergoing radiation therapy or surgery. Diagnostic procedures, such as sulfur colloid SPECT/CT scans, may measure normal liver tissue before, during and after treatment and help doctors plan better treatment for liver cancer... Read More
