COVID19 Paid Clinical Trials in Kentucky

Treatments are needed to improve outcomes among patients hospitalized for COVID-19, including direct-acting antiviral (DAA) agents to mitigate the pathology driven by ongoing viral replication. This trial will evaluate S-217622 (ensitrelvir), an anti-SARS-CoV2 3C-like protease inhibitor (PI) developed by Shionogi &; Co. Ltd. The study design is a randomized, placebo-controlled, multi-center international clinical trial that will evaluate the clinical efficacy of ensitrelvir when given in addition to standard of care (SOC) for inpatients with COVID-19. The SOC will be determined by local established guidelines and may include additional DAA (e.g., remdesivir) and immunomodulatory treatment strategies. Primary objective: - To evaluate the efficacy of oral reparixin versus standard care alone in limiting disease progression in adult patients hospitalised for infectious pneumonia acquired in the community (CAP), including COVID-19. The study investigators are interested in learning more about how drugs, that are given to children by their health care provider, act in the bodies of children and young adults in hopes to find the most safe and effective dose for children. We hypothesize that recovered COVID-19 patients suffer long term cardiovascular and pulmonary complications, which can be detected by point of care ultrasound. The goal is to comprehensively delineate the long term cardiovascular and pulmonary ultrasound findings in recovered COVID-19 patients, identify risks factors for prolonged heart/lung injury, evaluate long term effects of applied treatment, and assess late medication/vaccine side effects in COVID-19 patients. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of repurposed medications (study drug(s) in reducing symptoms of non-hospitalized participants with mild to moderate COVID-19. Participants will receive either study drug or placebo. Participants will self-report any new or worsening symptoms or medical events experienced while taking study drug or placebo. This study is intended to be all remote with no in person visits, unless the study team feels it is in the best interest of a participant to be seen in person. The purpose of this study is to test the safety of multiple doses of a Q-GRFT nasal spray in healthy volunteers. This study proposes to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy, immunologic effects and normalization of laboratory parameters for patients at high risk for mortality when infected by SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) when administered one unit (approximately 200 mL) of convalescent plasma administered over a period of one hour.
