Researchers are investigating new treatments for untreated advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), which is the most common form of lung cancer and lung cancer that has spread beyond surgical removal. Standard treatments include immunotherapy, such as pembrolizumab, and chemotherapy. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of adding other treatments, including the human epidermal growth factor receptor 3-directed antibody-drug conjugate (HER3-DXd) patritumab deruxtecan, to pembrolizu... The primary objective of this single arm study is to estimate the progression free survival of previously-untreated patients with extensive stage small cell lung cancer. Patients will receive initial chemo-immunotherapy followed by maintenance therapy with durvalumab and oral ceralasertib.

                Background:
- Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide. It causes more than one million deaths every year. Researchers want to gather tissue samples from people with lung and thymic cancers to understand the disease better. This may lead to new ways to diagnose and treat it.
Objective:
- To collect tissue samples for use in the study of lung cancers.
Eligibility:
- Adults over age 18 with non-small cell lung cancer, small cell lung cancer, extra pulmonary small cel... Read More

                Background:
* Chromatin is is the structural building block of a chromosome. It is found inside the nucleus of the cell and consists of a complex of DNA and protein.
* Cancers of the lung, pleura (lung lining) and esophagus show profound changes in chromatin structure that may affect the course of disease in patients.
* A better understanding of these diseases and the genetic changes associated with them may be helpful in developing new treatments for them.
Objectives:
* To evaluate people wi... Read More
