Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) have changes in blood vessel health that can lead to a higher chance of developing heart attacks or strokes. New medications for T2DM including dapagliflozin, which is a Sodium-Glucose Cotransporter-2 inhibitor (SGLT2) inhibitor, may help protect the heart and blood vessels. The overarching objective of this mechanistic study is to learn how a Sodium-Glucose Cotransporter-2 (SGT2) inhibitor, dapagliflozin, impacts vascular health in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM). The investigators will compare the changes in vascular health to changes in endothelial cell (EC) phenotype including non-coding RNA (ncRNA) to develop evidence supporting the mechanism of cardiovascular benefit of SGLT2 inhibitors. This study will provide novel information regarding the mechanism of effects of novel treatments for endothelial function and vascular health in patients with T2DM to reduce cardiovascular (CV) risk. Latino individuals, the fastest growing ethnic minority population in the United States, have a higher prevalence of type 2 diabetes and diabetes-related complications, and are more likely to report inconsistent use of diabetes medications than non-Hispanic White individuals. The proposed project will test an interactive text message-based tool tailored to address barriers to taking diabetes medications that are relevant to Latino adults. If found feasible, acceptable, and usable, this intervention could serve as a scalable tool to improve diabetes management and reduce diabetes-related complications among Latino adults in the United States. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the accuracy of the Cambridge Medical Technologies, LLC second generation (2nd Gen) LabPatch glucose sensing system compared to a laboratory glucose analyzer (YSI 2300 STAT Plus) and 2 commercial glucometers, OneTouch Verio and Freestyle Lite. The primary endpoint of this study is the mean absolute relative difference (MARD) for 2nd Gen LabPatch system compared to each of the above mentioned glucose references over a 6 hour outpatient visit. A Randomized, Multi-Center, Pivotal Efficacy and Safety Study Evaluating the RESET System for Glycemic Improvement in Patients with Inadequately Controlled Type 2 Diabetes and Obesity, the STEP-1 Study. A multi-center, double-blinded, randomized, sham-controlled trial to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the RESET System plus moderate intensity lifestyle and dietary counseling compliant with 2024 ADA Standard of Care as compared to a sham control receiving moderate intensity lifestyle and dietary counseling. The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about digital literacy training in adult, Latino patient with type II diabetes. The main question it aims to answer is: Can providing digital literacy training during a hospital admission can help patients with their after-hospital care by using the patient portal and telehealth? Participants will receive digital literacy training by a digital navigator that focuses on the main patient portal functions. Researchers will compare patients who receive digital literacy training to those who receive standard of care (educational sheet) to see if it impacts their use of the patient portal after discharge. This study aims to understand the use of continuous glucose monitors (CGM) in Asian Americans with type 2 diabetes (T2D). Researchers will compare participants on continuous glucose monitors with participants using fingerstick self-monitoring with the aim of answering the following questions: 1. Check if continuous glucose monitoring is doable and consistent for this group, and see how it affects their quality of life. 2. Estimate how well the health outcomes (glucose and lipid markers) vary over the study period. 3.
