Alopecia areata (AA) is a chronic relapsing autoimmune disease characterized by nonscarring hair loss affecting children, adolescents, and adults across all ages, races, and genders. AA primarily affects the scalp; however, it also can affect nails, eyelashes, eyebrows, and other hair follicles on the patient's body. The 3 main types of AA are: * Patchy alopecia (PA), as seen in 90% of clinical diagnoses * Alopecia totalis (AT), that affects all scalp hair * Alopecia universalis (AU), involving all scalp, face, and body hair Dermatologist preferences for utility and order of skin-directed therapies to treat AA vary widely, with treatment choices based on various factors such as patients' age, disease duration and severity (Meah et al., 2020). Ritlecitinib is a bioavailable small molecule that irreversibly binds to Janus kinase-3 (JAK3) and Tyrosine kinase Expressed in the hepatocellular Carcinoma kinase family (TEC). Ritlecitinib 50 mg once daily was approved by the FDA 23 June 2023 and EMA 20 July 2023 for the treatment of severe alopecia areata in adults and adolescents 12 years of age and older. In Japan, ritlecitinib was approved on 26 June 2023 for the treatment of alopecia areata (limited to intractable cases involving widespread hair loss). Additional countries have since approved ritlecitinib. Those approvals are based on the results of the ritlecitinib pivotal phase 2b/3 study (ALLEGRO 2b/3) which examined efficacy and safety of ritlecitinib in AA patients globally. Despite positive results from the ALLEGRO program, there is still lack of evidence on ritlecitinib patients' characteristics and clinical outcomes in routine clinical practice. The investigators will evaluate patient and disease characteristics, treatment patterns, and clinical and patient-reported outcomes among patients with AA who are receiving ritlecitinib. The aim of this study is to measure effectiveness of ritlecitinib in a real-world setting. Ritlecitinib will be prescribed to patients according to the approved product label. The research objective of the proposed usability study is to assess the compliance and acceptance/satisfaction of using a bimodal stimulation device with the modification of the sound stimulus to the participant's tinnitus pitch. In particular, the sound stimulus will not contain the pitch of the tinnitus, which may increase comfort and usability with the device since it will be customized to their tinnitus. Furthermore, virtual follow-up assessments and/or phone calls will be performed, thus significantly reducing the burden and personnel requirements for in-person visits as originally performed with the current clinic process. Glaucoma is the second most common cause of blindness in the world, second only to cataracts. This study will assess how safe and effective a glaucoma gel stent is when implanted using the ab interno (inside the eye) and ab externo (outside the eye) approach. Adverse events and intraocular pressure will be assessed. XEN63 is an investigational device for the treatment of intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with glaucoma when both medical and conventional surgical treatments have failed (for US approval) and when medical treatments have failed (for outside US \[OUS\] approval). Participants will be placed in one of two groups called study arms. One group will receive the XEN63 gel stent ab interno (inside the eye) and the other group will receive the XEN63 gel stent ab externo (outside the eye). Approximately 130 participants aged 45 years or older with glaucoma will be enrolled in this study at approximately 32 sites in the United States. Participants will receive XEN63 implanted using either the ab interno approach or the ab externo approach on Day 1 and will be followed for 12 months. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic. The safety and effect of the gel stent on your glaucoma will be checked by medical assessments and eye examinations. This is an observational study in people with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and type 2 diabetes (T2D) who will be receiving finerenone. Kidneys filter extra water and waste out of the blood and make urine. CKD is a long-term, progressive, decrease in the kidneys' ability to filter the blood properly. In people with T2D, the body does not make enough of a hormone called insulin, or does not use insulin well enough, resulting in high blood sugar levels that can cause damage to the kidneys. As a result, CKD can occur as a complication of T2D. Finerenone works by blocking certain proteins, called mineralocorticoid receptors. An increased stimulation of these proteins is thought to damage the kidneys and the heart. By lowering their stimulation, finerenone reduces the risk of kidney disease progressively getting worse. Finerenone is available and approved for doctors to prescribe to people with CKD and T2D. Since it has only recently become available for these patients, there is a need for more information about the use of finerenone in the real-world setting. The main purpose of the study is to learn more about treatment patterns in people with CKD and T2D who just started or will start finerenone treatment as decided and prescribed by their doctor as part of their routine medical care. To answer this question, the researchers will collect data on: * Clinical characteristics (e.g., history of CKD and T2D, blood pressure, heart health) of the participants * Reasons for starting finerenone * Reasons for stopping finerenone early * How long participants have been taking finerenone (planned by their doctor compared to actual time it was taken) * Dosing of finerenone * Other medications used while taking finerenone The researchers will also collect data on medical problems (called adverse events) that the participants may have during the study. All adverse events are collected, even if they might not be related to the study treatment. Hyperkalemia, a medical term used to describe a potassium level in the blood that is higher than normal, is of special interest when finerenone is combined with some medications commonly taken to control blood pressure. Researchers want to know how often higher potassium levels occur, and when it leads to: * Stopping finerenone treatment too early * Dialysis (a medical procedure to filter the blood of extra water and waste) * Care in a hospital All data will come from medical records or from interviews study doctors will have with the participants during visits that take place during routine medical care. Participants in the US will be invited to provide voluntary blood and urine samples that could be analyzed later to better understand possible changes in protein or nucleic acid levels over time. Each participant will be in the study for 12 months. This time participating in the study may be shorter if their finerenone treatment is stopped early or the study comes to an end as planned in September 2027. Read Less

This study is open to adults who are at least 18 years old and have: * A confirmed liver disease called non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) or * A confirmed liver disease called metabolic-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) * BMI of 27 kg/m2 or more or * 25 kg/m2 or more if the participant is Asian. People with a history of other chronic liver diseases or high alcohol intake cannot take part in this study. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called survodutide helps people with NASH or MASH improve their liver function. Participants are put into 2 groups randomly, which means by chance. 1 group gets survodutide and 1 group gets placebo. Placebo looks like survodutide but does not contain any medicine. Each participant has twice the chance of getting survodutide. Participants and doctors do not know who is in which group. Participants inject survodutide or placebo under their skin once a week. All participants regularly receive counselling to make changes to their diet and to exercise regularly. Participants are in the study for up to 4 and a half years. During this time, they visit the study site or have a remote visit by video call every 2, 4 or 6 weeks for about a 1 year and 5 months. After this time participants visit the trial site or have a remote visit every 3 months until the end of the study. The doctors check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects. The participants' body weight is regularly measured. At some visits the liver parameters are measured using different imaging methods. The participants also fill in questionnaires about their symptoms. The results are compared between the groups to see whether the treatment works. Read Less

This is a placebo-controlled, randomized, double-blind, parallel group, phase 3 multicenter study in subjects recently hospitalized for ACS and with the appropriate genetic profile. Subjects will provide informed consent before any study-specific procedures are performed. A separate informed consent will be allowed for an initial pre-screening genetic testing. Subjects meeting the AA genotype will then consent to the full study and confirmatory genetic testing as required. Subject enrollment may begin in the hospital and will continue following release from the hospital or may begin following release from hospital. Screening procedures may be performed at the time of the index ACS event or anytime thereafter, with the condition that randomization must occur within the mandated window (up to12 weeks after the index event). Subjects will be assessed based on their medical history. Those who are likely to qualify will undergo Genotype Assay testing to evaluate genetic determination for the presence of AA genotype.
